In the past year, I feel like the world has passed me by for the first time. I have genuine confusion about how people interact with each other, connect to larger society and what they relate too. It's weird. It feels pretty weird. I don't know if it's my age, where I live or how I navigate things. With all that said, WFMU is the place where I feel a connection. It was validating when I volunteered at the station for 3 days in that it felt like home.

	♥ 11:14am Threemoons: The one thing I DID like about this final season of Star Trek Picard was that we finally got to see ALL of the old crew together, and see both how they physically aged and in a lot of cases became better actors over the years. Case in point: Jery Ryan and shockingly, Brent Spiner. Those two were super green when they started and Spiner especially showed more ability and range than the base material in The Next Generation ever gave him credit for. I mean, you EXPECT Patrick Stewart to be amazing -- he was already a well known Shakespearian actor back home -- but the rest? When Pepsi Trek (as we called it) launched when I was in college, we watched it religiously and laughed at the plot holes. Ditto for much of Voyager when that hit. Deep Space 9 was really a war story not a space story, and even then, it dragged on for a bit too long. ALL of the movies, except for the first one with Shatner/V'ger sucked and even the first one had its issues.

Doubt they shot in sequence, so being able to weave in and out of characters that are more complex than the last is a masterclass of acting.

But in the New reboot series Maureen was either married or had a child out of wedlock with someone else before John. And they made that child Judy, so when Maureen married John they gave Judy his last name of Robinson, even though she's clearly not John's kid because she's black. Now why they did that? I don't know.

It's weird. It feels pretty weird. I don't know if it's my age, where I live or how I navigate things. With all that said, WFMU is the place where I feel a connection. It was validating when I volunteered at the station for 3 days in that it felt like home.

	♥ 11:14am Threemoons: The one thing I DID like about this final season of Star Trek Picard was that we finally got to see ALL of the old crew together, and see both how they physically aged and in a lot of cases became better actors over the years. Case in point: Jery Ryan and shockingly, Brent Spiner. Those two were super green when they started and Spiner especially showed more ability and range than the base material in The Next Generation ever gave him credit for. I mean, you EXPECT Patrick Stewart to be amazing -- he was already a well known Shakespearian actor back home -- but the rest? When Pepsi Trek (as we called it) launched when I was in college, we watched it religiously and laughed at the plot holes. Ditto for much of Voyager when that hit. Deep Space 9 was really a war story not a space story, and even then, it dragged on for a bit too long. ALL of the movies, except for the first one with Shatner/V'ger sucked and even the first one had its issues.

But in the New reboot series Maureen was either married or had a child out of wedlock with someone else before John. And they made that child Judy, so when Maureen married John they gave Judy his last name of Robinson, even though she's clearly not John's kid because she's black. Now why they did that? I don't know.
