@ J/Weg: which opponent did you see Alcaraz play ?!
- i often have tennis channel on in the background while listening to WFMU. He’s a jaw-dropping shot monster.
That burgeoning rivalry between Yannik Sinner & Alcaraz is Tennis world catnip.

Perception of negative space comes to mind. And trying to shift attention to that reality. Listening is a great way to shift into that space. Visually is harder.

tennis (slight return): so I guess you saw Alcaraz v Tommy Paul 🇺🇸. Lately, Paul can go toe to toe w/ the best of em. Re Alcaraz v Medvedev, your hunch may have proven correct. At that stratospheric level it’s all about those match-ups vibes. But don’t sleep on Sinner, I think he coulda gotten the job done as well, if he hadn’t been so worn-out after getting thru Alcaraz !

Medvedev is such a mystery , it’s all defensive until it’s not , he just gets everything back , it’s such an unorthodox style … I think most power hitters are are neutralized by the sheer number of balls he gets back .

The artists who bought the character killed her off in a video, then Cantor stenciled her back without approval, which didn't go all that well with the owners (I guess that's pretty art-nerdy, even for this station)

ERIK / VermonT:

Medvedev: agreed. Our family refers to him as “a hyper-animated bundle of sticks”. Fun to watch, even when he plays the devilish card. He’s actually really funny - his press & conferences are a riot !
