… there’s a reason pop music is popular!
to wit:
My Old School
Home at Last
Night By Night (Joe Jackson covered in 2019)
The Royal Scam (the title track)
Dirty Work.
My ex was a big fan since college;

She and I discussed this recently. She had once said there was a real intriguing streak of bizarre and perverse behavior in many of the songs.
What prompted our talk: gave her a copy of the Me, Myself & Irene soundtrack that my friend had found at a Salvo & disliked, discovering he didn’t like covers of Steely Dan as much as he didn’t like Steely Dan.
My take is people can be snobs about this stuff.
I hope this helps.

I had Aja on 8-track, and Can’t Buy a Thrill was a fave LP among friends when I was 13.
I tried to call in … but these are the high points
Ciggy:
Well, enjoy the match.
As you know, The winner of this match will pit them in Grouo B along with Iran, my USA and the overrated / over confident England.

In tournament play I think it comes down mostly to home pressure and mentality, that's probably England's biggest problem.
