Hungarian music meets the world - with guests Kalman Magyar and Michel Montanaro.

Hear this show now: Pop-up listen Pop-up player!

Guest Kalman Magyar has appeared on TSP as a member of the bands Eletfa and Dallam-Dougou.

Kalman introduces his new totally solo cd (he plays all the instruments!) Exposed.  On Exposed (available from cdbaby.com) Kalman expands upon his Hungarian roots and his background as a violinist to explore musical traditions from across Eastern Europe.

Bonus guest: From Provence in the South of France, globetrotting multi-instrumentalist Michel Montanarol has dedicated his creative life to cross-cultural collaboration.  He introduces us to a couple of his far-flung projects and does a little live in-studio collaborating with Kalman.  To learn more about Michel and his many activities visit his website, http://www.compagnie-montanaro.com/

Related gigs: Dallam-Dougou at Satalla, 37 W 26 St in Manhattan on May 8; Eletfa at Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture Good Coffeehouse, 53 Prospect Park West in Park Slope on May 14.
