Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 23, 2021 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

SoP, I saw the expanded version of Little Feat open for Captain Beefheart in May of 1972. Lowell told the Howlin' Wolf story to much hilarity and cringing. When I met Lowell in 1975 he was the warmest kindest person you could imagine. He took the back stage pass off his shirt and slapped it on my chest. I was so stunned I just wandered out onto the street. It was like been kissed by the most beautiful girl in the world.

I also think people critiquing Lennon when he only got to mature to age 40 in 1980 is facile & out of context.
