	♥ 4:56pm coelacanth∅: my sister's husband had 2 pinball machines he rarely touched. flintstones, which was good only because it was a pinball machine. the options were minimal, the music was annoying and the pictures were not of the cartoon but of the movie. ugh. the other one was morbid -called "earthshaker" had pictures of a stereotypical california surfytype couple in a hot car having a great time and images of destruction all around them. the machine was a wee bit sluggish but was an excellent machine. lots of opportunities and clever features. - the first things to sell when my sister filed for divorce.

	♥ 5:18pm StringOFperils: Pinball is awesome because it's an interface between the human body and its place within the Earth's gravity, coupled with how it can effect changes in a relatively simple electro-mechanical device that is subject to the same forces. It's a little bit like fucking a toaster, not that I've ever tried that. Plus it's cheap.

	5:31pm notsoKWYET: So I really wanted to become a drummer when I first heard Keith Moon... I am very attached to Tommy and Live at Leeds. Anyway, A few years back we got my parents tickets to see Tommy at Stratford, which is a major centre for plays here in Canada. The production was an official production, 1 of 4 ever because Des McAnuff was brought in to Stratford that year... I remember thinking "if the drummer of this play isn't good, it's going to ruin the whole experience" --- the drummer ends up being incredible and I e-mail her to tell how awesome her performance was. We exchange a few e-mails and that's that... then 6 months later i'm listening to some radio station at work and Randy Bachman is a guest on Kim Mitchell's show (I think). Randy talks about the Startford Tommy production and mentions that Pete Townshend had joined him to come and see it. At the end of the show Townshend says "i want to meet this drummer... she is the best drummer i have heard since Keith Moon"... and I just thought that was so cool.

	♥ 4:56pm coelacanth∅: my sister's husband had 2 pinball machines he rarely touched. flintstones, which was good only because it was a pinball machine. the options were minimal, the music was annoying and the pictures were not of the cartoon but of the movie. ugh. the other one was morbid -called "earthshaker" had pictures of a stereotypical california surfytype couple in a hot car having a great time and images of destruction all around them. the machine was a wee bit sluggish but was an excellent machine. lots of opportunities and clever features. - the first things to sell when my sister filed for divorce.

	5:31pm notsoKWYET: So I really wanted to become a drummer when I first heard Keith Moon... I am very attached to Tommy and Live at Leeds. Anyway, A few years back we got my parents tickets to see Tommy at Stratford, which is a major centre for plays here in Canada. The production was an official production, 1 of 4 ever because Des McAnuff was brought in to Stratford that year... I remember thinking "if the drummer of this play isn't good, it's going to ruin the whole experience" --- the drummer ends up being incredible and I e-mail her to tell how awesome her performance was. We exchange a few e-mails and that's that... then 6 months later i'm listening to some radio station at work and Randy Bachman is a guest on Kim Mitchell's show (I think). Randy talks about the Startford Tommy production and mentions that Pete Townshend had joined him to come and see it. At the end of the show Townshend says "i want to meet this drummer... she is the best drummer i have heard since Keith Moon"... and I just thought that was so cool.
