Kind of like taking your parents record collection and getting drunk in a Radio Shack. Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Garage Punk, Regular Punk and Old-Fashioned Weirdos. Hopefully you have the patience for this fast-paced sonic impatience. Not recommended for the fan of 4 minute songs.

Hi Jan! Tuned in and listening here while at work. Will try to make your show tonight at 7pm too. :)

Hi Otis, I've just finished the playlist. I think I've figured most of the system out :-)

I set a goal this week to listen to all shows live and get on chat. Praying to the client godz. Archives are cool, but not as much fun ya know.

Rich in Washington:

I listen to so many live shows across all the WFMU streams that I almost type responses to my car stereo.
Avatar 2:15pm
recordrouletteclub:

Hey everybody!! Was just at a meeting that ran late.
So, I had to run a coupla stop signs and red lights to make it somewhat on time!!
Avatar 2:16pm
Mr Fab:

Hey all! Good on ya Otis, but it's not easy to listen to the whole schedule.

Dont kill yourself on our account, Danny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm
Rich in Washington:

It's fun to imagine that the WA WA WAs in this song are done by Curly Howard.
Avatar 2:16pm
Otis Fodder:

Ha! I know the feeling of running to make a show, so well. :)

Montenegro 60s and early 70s is ahhhmazing.

I was kidding about the speeding and disobeying the law. I would never do that. RIght?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm
Jan Turkenburg:

None of us would ever disobey the law, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm
Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar 2:20pm
Mr Fab:

Agreed, on the Hugh Montenegro. His Moog-y albums from that period were the very definition of a thrift-shop/bargain-bin score. They're still cheap, actuallly. Montenegro has somehow been overlooked by hipster collectors
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Damn it Danny, I can't sit still with this show!

1st Cheap Trick album is amazing!
  2:24pm
Martinibomb:

I'm listening while repairing a computer.. almost got it fixed then I need to record a show for this week
Avatar 2:24pm
Otis Fodder:

@Fab - Totally agree, I have a somewhat obsession about collecting Moog related albums on vinyl.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm
Rich in Washington:

Love Moog records! The poppier, the better.
Avatar 2:25pm
recordrouletteclub:

Love this song!! I never really heard it till I was almost 40. Weird.
Avatar 2:25pm
Mr Fab:

Big BLack's cover hepped me to this great Cheap Trick track back in the day.

May 23rd's Bob Moog's birthday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm
Rich in Washington:

I've always had a sort of fond regard for Cheap Trick whenever hearing them on the radio, but recently have gotten into them and their debut album, which is a really good cross between 70s hard rock, glam and a bit of a punky edge. It's just a solid album all the way through.
Avatar 2:29pm
Otis Fodder:

2nd for Cheap Trick. Any 70s CT and count me in 200%!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm
Rich in Washington:

It's fun to explore that era of music. I mainly undertook it while building a massive library of 70s music that the missus and I could listen to together piped throughout the house. We don't see eye-to-eye with most music, but forgotten 70s music is a good common ground for us.
Avatar 2:36pm
Mr Fab:

Was that THE Louis Jordan? Doesn't sound like him. more like a Ray Charles impersonator. Which aint' a bad thing to be at all, just sayin...
Avatar 2:38pm
Otis Fodder:

Messer Chups, yea!
Avatar 2:40pm
Mr Fab:

Spacebrother Greg and I were fortunate enough to see thee mighty Messer Chups live a few years ago. Don't miss 'em!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm

This show is like a double espresso - shot right into the jugular!
Avatar 2:47pm
Otis Fodder:

Want to catch Messer Chups live. Was gonna go when they were slated to play Montreal but had issues getting across the border here. Blows when that happens with bands in countries with border crap.

Sometimes mega-doses of hi NRG rock n roll can leave you feeling pummeled, but this show lifts ya up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm
Rich in Washington:

Indeed! I only ever met Fred once. I didn't know who he was. They had not just yet formed Dead Moon. I traded a really boss Kay guitar for a fuzzbox at their Clackamas OR shop.

recordrouletteclub:

Thanks Mr. Fab!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm

Fred demo'd a Big Muff for me and suggested I HAD to have it "cuz it's what Hendrix used!"
Then Fred and Toody got in a hilarious argument over what year my guitar was produced.
