Sat. 9/12/15 9:31am joe!:
happy anniversary, bob. that's quite a run. here's to another 39 years..
Sat. 9/12/15 9:35am Todd Ellenberg:
39 years—holy, shmolies! Congrats & many more. BTW, really something how much better sounding that vinyl Brass Tacks is compared to CD.
Sat. 9/12/15 9:39am Doug in Michigan:
Happy 39th. Bob
Sat. 9/12/15 9:40am Ken From Hyde Park:
Yowzie! How many hours of programming in 39 years on the radio? Estimate: 39 * 50 * 3 = 5850 hours
Sat. 9/12/15 9:41am Ken From Hyde Park:
D'oh! This is a 2-hour program, not 3. Estimate: 39 * 50 * 2 = 3900
Sat. 9/12/15 9:43am Debbie:
Love your Sat. selection of music! I usually listen to Dave Hill on Monday nights and now I'll tune into your show, too.
Sat. 9/12/15 9:47am mrmucho:
The sequencing of "Fotheringay"->"Mr Lacey" on the Holidays LP is one of the worst in all of rock. You go from this ethereal, ageless tune to a middling shuffle.
Sat. 9/12/15 9:49am SmokinJ:
Nice! Mornin bb!
Sat. 9/12/15 9:51am David in ATL from NJ:
That's go to be TA on piano!
Sat. 9/12/15 9:52am David in ATL from NJ:
Make that "got".
Sat. 9/12/15 9:52am moe:
Jeffery, Bob and Michael... the WFMU Saturday morning Triumvirate...
Sat. 9/12/15 9:55am Jeff:
Been listening since 1980!
Sat. 9/12/15 10:17am Marc Francis:
That last song was grand!
Sat. 9/12/15 10:29am Pam:
blow man, BLOW!
Sat. 9/12/15 10:31am melinda:
@mrmucho: I always thought that was an awkward transition, too. Then it's back to the mellowness of 'Book Song'.
Sat. 9/12/15 10:48am middlebun:
Sounds like Stan Kenton.
Sat. 9/12/15 10:49am Uncle Michael:
Sounds like Matt Fiveash's opening theme!
Sat. 9/12/15 10:49am Stuart Rose:
Bob, great show again.
But I will disagree with you on the Yardbirds interview. This Lloyd Thaxton fellow actually paid attention to what made the Yardbirds interesting. He mentions the tempo changes, the guitar sound.
Is he kinda ham-handed? Yeah, but nice to hear a "Bandstand" host ditching the lame bio questions.
Sat. 9/12/15 10:49am Uncle Michael:
Actually...the bed for his first mic break...my bad.
Sat. 9/12/15 10:50am ChrisB.:
This is a good half time show tune.
Sat. 9/12/15 10:58am JakeGould:
I always like the crickets bed sounds. And hello, folks!
