@Dave B.: Thanks for that link. I remember the 1969 blizzard, I was kid, but school was cancelled so it was a historical holiday in MY memory. The blizzard came after the garbage collectors in the city had been on strike for weeks, there where huge piles of plastic garbage bags on the sidewalks, which were then covered with snow, forming these huge white "walls" of snow lining the sidewalks at the curb. It wasn't like THE disaster of the year (remember Star Trek was cancelled in '69), just another NY adventure.

Is there a reason why there's no way to access archived 7SD shows from previous years with the WFMU app?

Because there's no way to make work the flash player from a Android mobiles if you go directly to the wfmu.org website using a normal mobile browser.
