David S. Ware can do no wrong in my book.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:07pm Jeff Golick:

Duuuuuuuuuke! Good question.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 12:07pm Carmichael:

The music is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE!!!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:08pm Jeff Golick:

@ljfw: Many moons ago I ran the NYC marathon. I had letters spelling my name affixed to the front of my t-shirt. At some point, one of the Fs fell off, as I learned when someone yelled, "Go Jeff with one F!"

So in that sense, you are accurate.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:10pm Jeff Golick:

@Carmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiichael: I guess that's a good thing! Tends to be better that the music one hears coming from outside the house.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 12:10pm Carmichael:

Or from the car next to you ...
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 12:12pm listener james from westwood:

that is funny. that adhesive gets an "f." or doesn't, i guess!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:14pm Jeff GHOULick:

I do wonder about the song choices some car drivers make, at unusually loud levels.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:17pm Jeff GHOULick:

Anyone who pledges today will get their very own, fully customized Halloween name from yours truly. (With apologies to WFMU's Liz Berg, who did this during the last regular marathon, only with punk names.)
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 12:29pm Carmichael:

Jeff, how much $ does it take to get you to 50%? Just curious.

And I will definitely be the 1st commenter on Tony's board. I thought today was Tuesday, and, well ...
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:30pm Jeff GHOULick:

{{{ sounds of doing math(s) }}}
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 12:31pm Jeff GHOULick:

Great question, Carmichael! We are $30 shy of 50% goal.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 1:01pm Jeff Golick:

*** PLEDGE ALERT ***

Heinz has 57 varieties and so does D:O Radio! Only $105 to get this baby swimming in 100% catsup!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 1:40pm Jeff GHOULick:

My thoughts this morning do go out to the employees of Pittsburgh-based Heinz, on the news that McDonalds is to slowly phase out using the brand in their stores.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 1:41pm Brian in UK:

Keeps dipping out overhere, guess it is either my 'phone or poor reception due to the atrocious weather we have had in the last twenty four hours.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 1:44pm Jeff Golick:

Sorry to hear that, Brian! I'll check things over here, too...
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 1:48pm Dead Spiderkind:

Mickey D's is jettisoning Heinz ketchup because a new board member Warren Buffet's group (which bought Heinz) brought on is also a muckymuck at Burger King. This is what constitutes front-page news in sleepy Pittsburgh.

No probs with the stream over here...
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 1:52pm listener james from westwood:

any day on which the biggest news story is a ketchup/catsup argle-bargle is a good one, in the grand cosmic scheme of things.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 1:56pm Jeff Golick:

Amen, Listener SLAYmes.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:00pm listener SLAYmes from westBOOOOOOd:

Jesus...what a shithole.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:02pm Uncle Michael:

I'll bet that's front page news in Omaha too.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:02pm listener SLAYmes from westBOOOOOOd:

ah, great, now you made the haunted door cry!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:04pm northguineahills:

hallo Jeffreys! Been really busy today, loving the set!
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:04pm Uncle Michael:

I smell ectoplasm. Who died in here?
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:05pm Dead Spiderkind:

PLEDGE TOTAL ALERT...PLEDGE TOTAL ALERT...
D:O Radio is now just 80 bottles of relish away from hitting the hot dog homerun!
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:05pm Brian in UK:

I thought McD only used Heinz TK in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis? The rest is international.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:09pm Brian in UK:

Walpurgis
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:10pm northguineahills:

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:15pm northguineahills:

Yes it did! And it was delicious (still have plenty left until Dec.)
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:16pm Jeff GHOULick:

Belated halloooos to Uncle Michael and to northguineahills and I see you over there, too, Dead Spiderkind.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:17pm Jeff Golick:

You folks know a lot about ketchup/ectoplasm.
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:18pm Brian in UK:

Jeff I am going to put a record on. This link is OK but TuneIn is too flaky. Might play my mono copy of White Light, White Heat. RIP Lou.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:20pm Jeff Golick:

So sorry to hear, Brian! But understood, of course. See you next time, I hope. And RIP Lou, too. We're planning a proper send-off of Lou for an upcoming show, btw...
Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:22pm Brian in UK:

Waldo Jeffers had it coming.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:23pm Jeff Golick:

Never seen that before: Traktor, the program we've been using to play songs during the show, just up and quit. Boo, indeed.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:27pm Doug Schulkind:

Wha? Traktor quit? Yikes!
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:27pm Jeff Golick:

Waldo did, didn't he.

Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:51pm Jeff Golick:

(Had wondered if Anthrax showed up elsewhere as bed music...)
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:54pm northguineahills:

Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 2:55pm Uncle Michael:

Funny...so was I.
Avatar Mon. 10/28/13 2:57pm Jeff Golick:

Avatar    Mon. 10/28/13 3:01pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks, Jeffs.
