@Van The Ichiban stream has decided to have fewer live programs. Matt Fiveash is moving over to the Drummer Stream and will follow Charlie Lewis on Thursdays. Each stream is evolving under the vision of each hairy eyeball at the helm. I have always envisioned the Drummer Stream being about live humans playing records. Live radio is my favorite way to experience music and so I am emphasizing that. |

This track is clearly inspired by the great Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's monster song "Expensive Shit." In that song, Fela tells the story of having been arrested by the police on the suspicion of smoking marijuana. They keep him in jail long enough for him to have to go to the bathroom so they can test his poo for drugs. Knowing this, Fela's fellow cellmates give him all sorts of stuff to eat to mask the trace of pot, and sure enough, his poo has no marijuana and the cops have to let him go. True story. |
