A reflexive, traveling radio production. Each show is spontaneous as a backroom deal, a different guest a different location every week. Two hours of trading records with friends, programming without a prepared playlist. Actually, it goes like this: Jesse Kaminsky travels around Providence and the world with a portable radio show, visits a different person every week and makes spontaneous musical exchanges. We agree to call it radio.

Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:03pm Allison:

Hi Jenny!
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:07pm jk:

hey foldback!
Hey anyone else, Doug was on vacation so not sure how many of you are out there today
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:12pm northguineahills:

One of my best friends is from outside Fayetteville. After, graduating from U of Arkansas, he worked corporate at Wal-Mart before tiring of it and going to BU for grad school and finally landing in Brooklyn. We have an SEC rivalry going on as I'm originally from FL.
Tue. 7/17/12 7:12pm folded back ears:

cucurrucucu!!!! <3 this song
Tue. 7/17/12 7:13pm listener james from westwood:

i'm way off my usual gtdr schedule ... worked out of office thru tony, doug's in new england, but glad to be here for kk!
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:17pm jk:

greetings gentlemen, funny to be here from here, still getting used to the time zone. I keep looking at the (unchanged) clock on my laptop and panicking
Tue. 7/17/12 7:20pm folded back ears:

it was in talk to her
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:26pm Allison:

Jesse, this song is ten pounds of creepy in a five-pound bag. I shall respond.
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:28pm northguineahills:

That Crystals song has been getting a lot of play lately at WFMU. It's been at least 4 years since I've heard it before this month.
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:29pm jk:

I heard it recently on someone's show, who was that, trouble?
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:30pm northguineahills:

yep, it was Trouble last week.
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:31pm northguineahills:

you should do a set of Jerry Byrd, Joseph Byrd, William Byrd, the Byrds, and any other Byrds you can think of...
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:37pm jk:

doesn't that inevitably lead through the Blackbirds to andrew bird
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:39pm northguineahills:

Homophonically, yes. I was just going for Byrds w/ a "Y". Birds w/ an "I", you'd have enough material to ast 36 hours+.
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:48pm Allison:

One reason I love One Reason is because they make badass punk music out of phrases like "an initiative to preserve the rural way of life through fees on parking lots."
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:50pm northguineahills:

One Reason reminds me of the Southern hardcore bands we used to host in Gainesville in the 90s. They were some the few type of kids that didn't mind my live noise projects.
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:50pm jk:

with respect to the prospective by/irds marathon, I'm sure Doug wouldn't mind if I took over the overnight
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 7:51pm Allison:

That's exactly what they are. I've seen them play in Gainesville!
  Tue. 7/17/12 7:56pm northguineahills:

Really?, How long has One Reason been active? I have many fond memories of hosting bands post-college before the Brooklyn siren called for me. (Been here since 2000)
  Tue. 7/17/12 8:03pm northguineahills:

Then, there was some teenage NC poppy punk band that pulled the plug (literally) on my band when we were playing outside Jacksonville, FL.

Ahh, this is the Byrds from the Blowup sndtrk.
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 8:05pm Allison:

Jesse's Google says that album was released in 2004.
  Tue. 7/17/12 8:07pm northguineahills:

I mean yardbirds.... I spent my junior year of HS combing FL rec stores for that soundtrack before I found it on cassette at blockbuster music.... go figure....
  Tue. 7/17/12 8:56pm northguineahills:

Awesome set, Allison & Jesse. Had lots of fun. Cheerios!
Avatar Tue. 7/17/12 8:58pm jk:

Tue. 7/17/12 8:59pm folded back ears:
