Oh there are sooo many hahaha. Bollywood rip-offs were frequent before the 2000s when internet access started becoming widespread in the country. Most of the times, the rip-offs weren't that great - so I would just think it is funny when I'd find out that the bollywood song was plagiarizing another song. But there were times when the rip-offs were good (or maybe even built further on the originals) and they were classics in India. When I'd find out these were cases of plagiarism, that would break my heart. One example is a Bollywood song from 1980s called "Om Shanti Om" which is a rip off of a calypso song of the same name by Lord Shorty. Discovering that was a rip off was a strange feeling for me since I'd grown up in awe with that Bollywood song.

No problem! Glad you found it interesting. I have never watched the movie. I believe it is an unrealistic drama around a giant joint family that lives in the same house and is always happy. Not my kind of movie haha. The song was popular for a brief time when I was an elementary school kid in 1999 in India.

It could have been Chitrahaar which was a very popular bollywood song clip show that aired Sunday mornings (in India) on India's national TV channel DD National. But I do not think that it aired in the 60s and 70s. I remember watching it as a kid with my parents in the 1990s.
