Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from November 3, 2023 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

...as initial reactions pour forth - & reactions to reactions, such as mine here :
Seems reasonable to guess that John would've written more when it got beyond a Demo stage - which this did not for him.
Then again - Lennon had that particular gift of communicating a great deal that was relevant in a few succinct words.
& ...tho McCartney is Thee Melodic Genius of Pop~Rawk - & John tended to hover around just a few notes while focusing on those great Words - Lennon also of course wrote great Melodies within those parameters
...& finally, John's Voice is simply one of my favorite Instruments ever...

As for them pulling John's voice out of the Demo using Tech - I don't mind a bit. In fact it's quite amazing... That doesn't alter the overall question of should the Lennon Demo have become a Beatles Production - not @ all. My answer to that is - sure. Why not.
