The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

@Rich,i guess PG#3(“melt”)is still my fave. Many a time, I had considered trying the ALL German version, do you experience it as having an entirely “different mix” than the original English versions?

Ha, Don-O played this tonight. Your copy has sounds better or maybe I think that because I have this playing on the better speakers.

Dave Mandl should play this on “It’s Complicated.”

The mixes and run times are a bit different. I've only found out because I've tried to mash the english versions with the German versions and it's a difficult task because of that.

Pop-O-Pies were sort of notorious for doing lots of egregious pisstake covers of Grateful Dead songs, to the point where one album actually said 'There are NO Truckin' covers on this album.

re James Woods; I appreciate an actors commitment to portraying horrible characters. Woods (& say Willem Dafoe=great!)are particularly tapped into that esthetic. Woods in The Onion Field(1979)was indelible for me. Among others. The new movie “Poor Things” (2023, that wild Director Yorgos Lanthimos)comes crazily recommended by me & my artsy film pals. Mark Ruffalo kills it in this one. Among others!
