discogs was started with the only goal being to become the most complete database for vinyl (and ONLY vinyl; and actually only 1 genre as well) and was not intended to ever cost anything nor host a buying/selling platform. it still doesn't cost anything but there are advertisements and now they take 10% of shipping charges, like those scumbags at ebay. and now the only currency is paypal, who also are gradually becoming fat gluttonous pigs.
nobody's satisfied with making an easy fortune; they then always want to make a mega-fortune.
...so, despite the obvious perversion of the founder; i think at least the information will always be there and accessible; although it probably will -not long from now, become unpleasant to use when they decide to try to FORCE users to see advertisements (like youboob)

In the Trane Quartet mode like so much is ...usually quite welcome where I sit anyhow. But also a real sense of him expressing thru his own voice here. He's got technique as well as something emotive to say that he means. An organic quality to his phrasing. Appreciated.
