I don't remember .. it was a project from their side though. I built and used an impedance matching interface, designed by Negativland, so I could plug my home studio directly into the phone lines, which is how the audio was mixed. Irene may remember more!

2.) Comes on much slower...
[Indeed - History is supersaturated with episodes of folk who did not wait long enuff for an effect, took more, & overdosed (tho not quite the case here). Can you give it just one hour ??...]
3.) Tends to be strong...
4.) If it been a long time - maybe don't jump in the deep end of the pool right away... [I myself tended to oscillate from StraightEdge Boredom to powerful Psychedelic Indulgence ...& suffered the consequences...]

My impression of Moondog is he was surprisingly Un-Weird in Musical terms - tho definitely a Stylist - he had a lot of sort of NeoClassical Ideas ...& was even a bit Racist around the edges (in his Taik of not a Hater in his Behavior...) Phillip Glass was a housemate - & picked up a lot from him ! Which you can hear... Glass credits Ravi Shankar with the notion of giving every note the same emphasis - but - see what you think...

Late late to the party, but re: the 7" -- Flipping Hades Terwilliger is the name of a mad scientist character who shows up in a few Daniel Pinkwater books from the '80s, notably The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death.
