It was Paul Frees doing the Lorre impression with Spike Jones.

en.wikipedia.org...
"The Peter Lorre voice in the 1947 Spike Jones RCA Victor recording of the song "My Old Flame". When talking softly, the voice sounds much like Lorre.[15] When the character segués into a manic rant for a few lines, the voice anticipates the Ludwig Von Drake characterization. Frees appeared on several other Spike Jones recordings including "Pop Corn Sack" also from 1947 in which he provided the voices of Charles Boyer, Edward G. Robinson, Katharine Hepburn and Al Jolson."

unny thing is, I was searching for Star Trek podcasts the other day...don't ask why. I do watch StarTrek on occasion, but not a "trekkie" or "trekker" by any means.

If Secondhand Songs is a reliable guidline to go by, Finland sure has made a reputation of being Europe's greatest exporter of musical talent, if not the entire world's.

Another album long work on Peter Lorre. Centerpiece being Berthold Brecht short poems set to music by Hanns Eisler, regarding Lorre's fate in Hollywood

The first song of the show is from that same album! I didn't think I should play two complete albums (that one and the World/Inferno Friendship Society one); there were so many other songs to choose from, heh.
