If you're sitting on the right side of the train, you'll see the rest of the train out the window. The curve at Altoona is an engineering marvel. The train track traverses a steep section in a relative short distance. Often the conductor will narrate the story of the construction of the curve as the train passes through (though that might only be in the East>West direction. Listen for it on your return trip.

The train track traverses a steep section in a relative short distance. Often the conductor will narrate the story of the construction of the curve as the train passes through (though that might only be in the East>West direction. Listen for it on your return trip.
