I could have done that too, Krys O. But... I put it off. Marla and I were going to vote together... then it took until last night. Etc. Boring stories, but: we haven't missed an election since I was in my mid-20's, and even if it's a photo finish, I usually get it in. (Oregon makes it RIDICULOUSLY easy, too... which is helpful.)

Krys, as cheesy as I thought all those variety shows were, looking back they did have a sense of artistry and peculiar sincerity. Lawrence Welk and Donny and Marie were sacrosanct on Sundays.

My wife and I were very frustrated with the Tosches book about Dino - it seemed so fictionalized, always putting thoughts into Dean's head. Clearly a lot of research went into it, but I got tired of mentally editing out Tosches's speculations.
