Erica:

My dad loved gardening outside in the spring. He would plant all sorts of vegetables like and tomatoes peppers and my mom would cook them. Sadly he passed away and now whenever I see a garden, I think of him.
Avatar 8:10pm
Erica:

Sorry for the sad story. I figured since this is a garden themed show I would share it here.
Avatar 8:12pm
WLSClark:

Erica, many of us likely have stories like that.
Avatar 8:13pm
Yod Crewsy:

@Erica - I can totally relate...I just lost my mom on Jan 15...she loved cultivating red and black currants and gooseberries in her backyard garden....
Avatar 8:15pm
Orange Peel:

Thank you for your story, Erica. I too have many sad stories. But the Big Boss only allows one per hour. This hour it is my lack of acknowledgement for being Rock'N Soul's only true DJ.

mom whig:

Hey there OP, Erica, Yod, WLS
My Dad too always had a great garden & fruit trees - he would use those Peat-Pod for the seeds under growth lights- & label them all. he too passed in 2004
Avatar 8:16pm
Erica:

So sorry for your loss Yod. My dad passed back in December before the Holidays.
Avatar 8:17pm
Yod Crewsy:

Hi to Mom Whig! Yea, my mom was 92...so, she had a good run...!!!
Avatar 8:17pm
mom whig:

Erica - hope it gets a little bit less hard for you. I always remember my Dad's fruit pies in his later life around 84 - cherries from his trees. So, our family always has a Cherry Pie in his memory at family birthdays
Avatar 8:17pm
Orange Peel:

Old OP is no longer a spring chicken either - once was I, so full of life.
Avatar 8:18pm
Orange Peel:

my mom was instrumental in bringing tunes into our house...I mean - CBS Records' "Best of 66" with Paul Revere and Bob Dylan and the Cyrkle...pretty cool for a mom in 66!!
