A live, improvised sound collage experiment, going back 25 years, weaving mesmerizing new soundscapes from found and collected materials right in the present moment.
Pop music, speeches, live phone calls and spontaneous monologues become ambient loopy layered threads riding the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming.

If you're not in your vulnerability, nothing is interesting
![]() |
Garry Shandling meets Sharon Stone | 2007 | They didn't want to be in their truth or vulnerability; they wanted to be in their mask, and their whole acting out of how fabulous they were. It's only really interesting to be with people when they're in their vulnerability. It's better to be with someone when they're making mistakes and don't know what to do, than someone who's being so sure-footed and phony. That's not interesting at all. | 0:18:35 (MP3 | )

Ignorance is the necessary condition of human happiness.
![]() |
Surviving Desire movie / The Gods Will Have Blood | 1993 / 1912 | We are almost entirely ignorant of ourselves, absolutely of others. In ignorance, we find our bliss; in illusions, our happiness. | 0:19:45 (MP3 | )

![]() |

And if you don't risk failure, you're never going to do anything that's different than what you've already done, or what somebody else has done. Oh this was on first DVD |
![]() |
![]() If you want a 100, you have to reach a show number that is a square. Then pick its square root as the base. Maybe pick any show number and say the square root is the base. I don't know about non-integer bases, but it's your show, your rules. An irrational base could have some appeal |

Mary Jo:
I briefly heard a mention of a compilation set of shows, possibly 50+ hours of Ken's best... How do you buy that set, I don't see any mention of the set on your website. LOVE the show. There are many Buddhist concepts and experiences integrated into the soundscape. Over the past few years, I have caught snippets of your show, always at a time of day that I need some positive support when my energy is running down in the afternoon. I didn't know until Monday that the show had compilations of previous shows, nor did I know that the show has had such a long run ! It has seemed to me that either you have studied and practiced Buddhism or your are naturally inclined to incorporate Buddhist thought into your commentary and soundscapes. Anyway, I am very comforted by the show while also being engaged in the thought patterns, an interesting combination.
