Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Mr Fab:

Hi BC! That Slim Goodbody album cover is pretty disturbing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Feldpausch:

Brush your teeth, kiddos
Avatar 2:09pm BC Sterrett:

Biafra says that Goodbody looks like The Fly on the cover. ha!

  2:19pm spacebrother:

My favorite period of DEVO's work. Love this one.
Avatar 2:21pm BC Sterrett:

Same here. Love the early more punkish stuff.
Avatar 2:21pm spacebrother:

Did you see the Hardcore tour?
Avatar 2:23pm BC Sterrett:

I wish. I was unable to travel at the time. I've never seen them come to Utah in my lifetime. lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm Feldpausch:

This sounds very Flight of the Conchords
Avatar 2:26pm spacebrother:

@ BC - Sorry you couldn't see that tour. I was enthralled through the whole thing. Never thought I'd see them do those songs.
  2:26pm Martinibomb:

@spacebrother I saw the hardcore tour and my friend who works for them got me back stage got a cool photo with em
Avatar 2:26pm spacebrother:

One of my favorite lines: "That sums it up in one big lump."
Avatar 2:28pm spacebrother:

@ MB - A friend paid for the "backstage VIP" package and got to meet them. The last time I met DEVO was in 1985 or so when they were signing at Tower records.

Avatar 2:33pm BC Sterrett:

I met Devo with they were outside some record store. I had Mark sign one of his Music For Insomniacs CDs. Still haven't seen them perform though...(sniff)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Mr Fab:

Well, speaking of Devo, they set one of John Hinkley's poems to music "I Desire," from "oh No it's Devo." album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Mr Fab:

The Spike Lee film "Summer of Sam" has the dog actually talking to Berkowitz (thru animation or CGI or sumthin). It's really funny.
Avatar 2:58pm BC Sterrett:

I wanna see that!

Hi Sem and Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm coelacanth∅:

greetings BC Sterrett and lost mediafolk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Rich in Washington:

I got to meet Devo at a Tower Records signing. Their drummer (post-Alan) fell off his stool while signing. Mark signed my ticket stub of my first ever Devo show. They seemed nice, even though it was a signing event in a Tower Records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Feldpausch:

Cocaine is a crazy drug
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Mr Fab:

Stiff-as-a-board white lounge band covering a funky soul song. Love it!

can't believe the iron isn't on spotify!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Rich in Washington:

I was excited to find a biker movie soundtrack the other day (The Hard Ride) and doubly excited to see that it was by Harley Hatcher, who had some cool early 60s singles but it's the goddamned tamest soundtrack I've ever heard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Mr Fab:

Do you have the Black Whip Thrill Band lp, BC? Classic biker stuff.
Avatar 3:59pm BC Sterrett:

I do! That will be on the continuation :)
Avatar 3:59pm ironybread:

Milwaukee Iron most def should be on BandCamp. Tracking down the band would be a fun project.
