Ok, I got a true story for you guys. Went to see them about '84 or '85 at the Coliseum in Houston. Me and a couple of my groupie girlfriends at the time found out they were staying at the White Hall in DT Houston after the show. We went over there hoping to meet the roadies or something to meet at least David Lee Roth. He was our goal! haha! Anyway, we were waiting by the elevators for some reason and all of a sudden the doors open and there's David Lee Roth sitting there on a bench in the elevator with a chick on each side of him. He leaned out at us and said, "Hello ladies," and then the door shut! We about crapped our pants and were screaming so loud! We couldn't believe it! I can still remember it like it was yesterday!

Stan Ridgway told me he was in a music class with Eddy and David at Pasadena City College. Everybody had to get up and do a presentation of some sort -tink tink, tink. Then Eddy got up and, well, did Eddy. Every one just got real quite. Even back then he was already EDDY.

Just thought of another story. When I was a freshman and sophomore in HS before I had my driver's license, I road to school with a guy friend that lived in my neighborhood. He had a Trans Am and we used to go down this parkway road every day and this one section, he would speed up to 100 every day and I remember he'd usually be playing Van Halen the whole way to school!! So much fun and I'm so glad we never crashed speeding that much every single day!!

The only Joyce Mitchell I’ve thought about is the prison guard who helped the two convicts escape in upstate NY. It was turned into a miniseries on HBO I think with Patricia Arquette & Benicio Del Toro.
