Favoriting August 31, 2020: The Crazy Is Dead
EL LOCO, or Manuel "Loco" Valdez, was a taboo-breaking and beloved Mexican comedian who died this past Friday at the age of 89. You could say he was the Andy Kaufman of Mexico, though his career began in the 50s so maybe you could say Andy Kaufman was the Loco Valdez of the USA. Today on Cannibal Stew we pay homage to him and other popcorn and novelty gems from mid-century Mexico, pulling all from the collection of my guest co-host Tropicaza. Live from Mexico City, capital of the 21st century.
