I saw the the vertical staircase of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the escalator.
Does the escalator make you shiver?
does it?
One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why aren't staircases more straight?"
Never forget the incurvate and curvilinear staircases.
How happy are wooly floors!

Whose beatnik is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite sad though.
It really is a tale of woe,
I watch him frown. I cry hello.

Of distant waves and birds awake.

Somewhere, in the distance, an almost indistinguishable whining and trilling rose from underneath the fragrant needles, obscured by darkness on the forest floor, where the pill-bugs and the ants were having a wild celebration, (as we all know they are wont to do at any hour of the day), spinning obscure and scratchy 45 rpm records purloined from the decaying shack that still leaned against the rusty tower standing near the edge of the high grass, where the curious long-hairs once broadcast these party sounds themselves back in the old time when they roamed the land. The ants had gradually carried all of the records, the transcription turntables, the racks of compressors and such, and an old and corroded electrical generator down into the cavernous tunnels they maintained, and had managed to restore the entrails of the former radio-station to working order, being the crafty and resourceful engineers that they were.
