Kind of like taking your parents record collection and getting drunk in a Radio Shack. Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Garage Punk, Regular Punk and Old-Fashioned Weirdos. Hopefully you have the patience for this fast-paced sonic impatience. Not recommended for the fan of 4 minute songs.

Mr Fab, if you have a faster way to reach Rebecca than email could you let her know?

Neck Chop. What kind of name is that for a record label?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Rich in Washington:

Yellow, everybody! Yow's everybody doing?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Mr Fab:

@Mailman Tom, started by a kung-fu grandmaster?

@ARB, no I don't - just email.
Avatar 2:06pm recordrouletteclub:

ARB-I'll be excited to hear your show NEXT!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Mr Fab:

Yellow hellos to you all! (It's fun pimping your page, ain't it?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm Mr Fab:

The Yellow Hellos - sounds like one of those nonsensical Japanese bands names.
Avatar 2:10pm ARB:

It is the color of a melted banana greeting you

Avatar 2:10pm Mailman Tom:

The proper authorities will be notified, you can be certain of that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Mr Fab:

Melt Banana, ha, reminds me that I compiled a list of kooky Japanese bands names, don't know what I did with it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

hey, gang!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm Mr Fab:

hey Granny! You're in luck today. You did not miss ARB's show, she's going on AFTER Danny today.
Avatar 2:15pm ARB:

Hi Granny ST!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

yeah, I'm on my phone today (a rare thing) and by the time i got myself logged in, it was too late! glad we'll get a second chance
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

the most annoying thing about being on my phone is that every time i comment, I'm bumped out of the chatboard and have to find my way back. and i just updated everything
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Mr Fab:

Oh gosh, well, don't worry about commenting. We know you're here.

Has anyone seen this movie, BUCKTOWN?
Avatar 2:22pm Otis:

Bucktown, yes, many moons ago. Pam Grier!
Avatar 2:23pm recordrouletteclub:

TV's Mindy?
Avatar 2:23pm recordrouletteclub:

How is the movie?
Avatar 2:24pm Otis:

Johnny Pate, man who soundtracked one of my fav flicks of the genre, Shaft In Africa.
Avatar 2:24pm Otis:

It's sorta like Across 110th Street, but it's not the mafia this time, it's backwoods southern small town vengence.
Avatar 2:25pm recordrouletteclub:

Sounds pretty good! I just know the soundtrack, so it'd be interesting to check it out.
Avatar 2:26pm Otis:

Here's a trailer - www.youtube.com...
Avatar 2:26pm Otis:

Rented it on VHS a good eon ago. Must be online somewhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Mr Fab:

There are still some blaxploitation flicks I have not seen? Esp. with Pam Grier?! Shame on me!
Avatar 2:31pm Otis:

Wow D, I didn't even know there was a soundtrack to Bucktown, looking it up online I only see a somewhat boot version on Discogs, www.discogs.com...
Now, going to search it out online in bits and bytes.
Avatar 2:31pm recordrouletteclub:

I've been thinking of PAM DAWBER. HAHAH!! Oooppps
Avatar 2:32pm Otis:

Dawber, haaaa. I was wondering about Mork and Mindy, thinking was Pam in that, wow! Now that would have been cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm Mr Fab:

LOL, imaging Pam Dawber pulling a gun out of HER afro! (Actually, just imagining Pam Dawber in a 'fro is funny enough.)
Avatar 2:34pm Mailman Tom:

I have a few of those Wavy Gravy LPs in my record collection
Avatar 2:34pm Otis:

Mork putting his finger in a Colt 45. Move over milk.
Avatar 2:34pm recordrouletteclub:

WAVY GRAVY is what started it ALL for me. LOVE THOSE RECORDS.
Avatar 2:35pm Otis:

I have Vol 1 and 2 of Wavy Gravy and they are KILLER no filler.
Avatar 2:36pm Otis:

All those comps like Swing for a Crime, God Less America, Jungle Exotica, Las Vegas Grind... shaped me. God bless Norton Records for my turn-on and ordering moons back.
Avatar 2:36pm recordrouletteclub:

We used to listen to those albums in central Pennsylvania around the campfire!! With lots of cheap beer.
Avatar 2:36pm Otis:

Best way to enjoy them. Or with some JD and ice and soda.
Avatar 2:37pm recordrouletteclub:

Piels Beer. 16 oz. cans.
Avatar 2:39pm Otis:

I would've joined you DJ!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Mr Fab:

Avatar 2:39pm Otis:

Here's your Gin n Tonic Fab. Scotch n Sodas up next.
Avatar 2:40pm recordrouletteclub:

Yeah!! There was a really small crew of us back then...PUNKS / MISFITS / WHATEVER.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Mr Fab:

Danny, were you guys like the sinners in the heart of Amish country? (That's why they kicked you out to the Midwest, ha ha)
Avatar 2:43pm recordrouletteclub:

FAB-Basically. Yes.

Where the Beastie Boys got the music for "Girls."
Avatar 2:49pm recordrouletteclub:

ARB- I don't know if you were living in the Twin Cities when TD Mischke was on the air, but his radio show was the BEST!! He now does a podcast that is great as well "The Mischke Road Show"
Avatar 2:50pm recordrouletteclub:

Also, there is a super fan that has his own website dedicated to Mischke's radio show. www.mischkemadness.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Rich in Washington:

That's something. I've never heard of Mischke before. Neato!
Avatar 2:52pm ARB:

If he was on when I lived there I was tragically ignorant of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

ditto on the neato
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Rich in Washington:

I jut watched a short clip of Bob Lazar's supposed hydrogen powered Corvette.
Avatar 2:54pm recordrouletteclub:

I read the Lazar book. Its....interesting..
Avatar 2:54pm Mailman Tom:

OK stands for Old Kinderhook, the nickname for President Martin Van Buren. During his presidential campaign, his supporters chanted "OK is all right!"
Avatar 2:56pm recordrouletteclub:

Oh!! I had no idea. Thanks TOM!!
Avatar 2:56pm Mailman Tom:

You are welcome, my friend!
Avatar 2:58pm Otis Fodder:

The Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers doc on Netflix is a good one for anyone wanting to check it out. My pal Oliver (who hosted the Vaporwave show in 2018 on Friendly Persuasion did the soundtrack for the doc).
Avatar 2:58pm recordrouletteclub:

OTIS-Wow. Neat!! The doc is better than the biography.
