Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am Listener Bob in PGH:

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Bob!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am WR:

Jan, do you know if that was an official sponsored Heineken song or not?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09am Jan Turkenburg:

Probably, but I didn't investigate
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18am Jan Turkenburg:

Muyselaer does promote Heineken's beer in an over the top manner in the song, so I can't imagine it wasn't..
Avatar 10:19am StringOFperils:

good morning all, from here to there. wherever that may be
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi StringOFperils!
Avatar 10:28am fred:

I think it's the first time I heard the original, thanks Jan
  10:30am L:

That was the bee's knees!
Same here Fred.. had only heard Bjork do that one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31am Jan Turkenburg:

I think this one was better, don't you agree?
  10:33am L:

Agree :)
Avatar 10:43am StringOFperils:

She's Too Fat...this is a blast from my past....for the life of me, I can't explain that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am Jan Turkenburg:

odd song... De Uiver was a KLM plane, btw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Jan Turkenburg:

Now I think of it.... Uiver was slang for Ooievaar (=Stork) I believe.
Avatar 10:49am StringOFperils:

They both delivered everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, of course!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Jan Turkenburg:

hey... a Dutch St Nicholas song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Rich in Washington:

Hi Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am Rich in Washington:

I can't believe I've slept in until now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Jan Turkenburg:

What time is it at your end, Rich?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am WR:

Which song was it that Bjork did a version of?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am Jan Turkenburg:

It's Oh So Quiet
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am Rich in Washington:

It's just now 8am over here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am WR:

Still early (somewhat) in the Pacific NW isn't it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Jan Turkenburg:

That's not so bad, is it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Rich in Washington:

I've cut down on my coffee intake and I'm sleeping quite a lot better. I went from sleeping maybe 5-6 hours to 24 hours now. What day is this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Jan Turkenburg:

LOL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09am Rich in Washington:

What a wonderfully odd song!
Avatar 11:10am Domenic:

I recommend a 20 year nap. Lie Rip Van Winkle
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Domenic!
Avatar 11:11am Domenic:

Bjork: Its ohh so Quiet?
Avatar 11:12am Domenic:

Hi Jan. Enjoying the show from home. Out of work until things pick up! Loos I might go back... eventually to my job..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am Jan Turkenburg:

Yep, by her aunt ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14am Jan Turkenburg:

Oh, that;s too bad, Domenic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14am Jan Turkenburg:

Sorry to hear that
Avatar 11:14am Domenic:

Ella May Morse... very nice. Oh you started at 10! I have trouble reading the Sheena schedule...going across to the time on the left..
Avatar 11:15am Domenic:

Its all good Jan. That place may erupt with the Cova. Its peaking here in Massachusetts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, the next show seems longer on the schedule, while it's actually shorter...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Rich in Washington:

I know what you mean, Domenic. The shows in the middle are difficult to determine when they start. I ended up writing a timeline list for when I read the schedule on the air.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am Rich in Washington:

OH YEAH. Coffee's kicking in. I'm feeling human again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am Jan Turkenburg:

"Coffee to wake the dead!"
Avatar 11:22am Domenic:

I have time to do other things. Your playing "It Ain't Necessarily So " reminded me that I called my favorite DJ on Tuesday. Told her it was Nisan 14 in the Jewish calender. Passover. Israel leaving Israel. I'm a Bible student.. with the time off hope I can fill the time with a few bible studies.. maybe on Zoom
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am WR:

A swinging Dutch lesson!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am Jan Turkenburg:

As long as you remember it ain't necessarily so, Domenic ;-)
Avatar 11:27am Domenic:

:')
Avatar 11:28am StringOFperils:

I am very fond of these old Dutch recordings Jan. I will have to peruse your archives over a period of time. A wealth of treasures this morning. :)
Avatar 11:29am Ursula1000:

ciao!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am chresti:

Hi Jan and over-unders!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Jan Turkenburg:

Thank you StringOFperils. Hi Ursula and Chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am WR:

Although I have a recording or two of Alice Babs, with Ellington, I have not focused on her before. Thanks for bringing her to my attention.
Avatar 11:32am fred:

I think the height of the box on the schedule is sized to fit the longest show title in that span. For some reason, this show is lacking the "(web-only)" line; I think adding it would make the box bigger
Avatar 11:32am Domenic:

Yes, all very nice. Hi Alex, You posted a lot of Mixcloud links. Share at 'the "Exotica Group" as well as your upcoming programs..
Avatar 11:36am Ursula1000:

will do Dom!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am WR:

Hi Chresti, tell Franco I made it to the grocery store today. So weird how a common errand has become a major exploit with much time spent sanitizing every thing upon returning.
Avatar 11:39am fred:

@Ursula1000: Many years ago, I won a Ursadelica CD during a marathon. I think it was on Small Change's show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Greetings, Jan and WFMU folx! Glad to see you all here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Jan Turkenburg:

@ StringOFperils: episode 014 is all Dutch.

Avatar 11:45am Ursula1000:

hey Fred---wow how cool! yeah Small Change is a good mate--WFMU legend!
Avatar 11:47am Martinibomb:

Just helped Small Change get his home radio studio working. I think he did his first live show last night? I fell asleep and missed it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

MArtinibomb: i heard some of it and it sounded great. It's impressive to see everyone getting things back on track in this madness.
Avatar 11:49am Martinibomb:
