i knew the skits from the first 4 (?) monty python albums before i knew there was a tv show associated with it, and before it was a regular show in the us -Thanks to my best friend George, who's father was supposedly a stand-up comic and had every album upon release.
i was really disappointed in the tv show at first. most of the skits were very different and i thought the albums were much funnier.
