Scott Walker is one of those artists for me that was totally off my radar for some reason. I'd heard the more famous tunes but hadn't really heard much of his work until 2 years ago. I just find it super weird that I wasn't aware of him for a long time.

I was in a hotel in London a couple of years agao, and all the Europeans at breakfast had modest plates of yoghurt and fruit and croissants, and this British bloke in front of us in the queue had a literal dome of fried breakfast. His wife started to admonish him and he said "I've paid for this!". lol

I use to work with this large older gent who would stop by a neighboring Holiday In Express, help himself to the complimentary continental breakfast on his way to the office before they finally banned him from the premises, had a picture of him behind checkout that said THIS MAN IS NOT A GUEST! and everything.

She had no idea who they were and complained bitterly about having to sit down on the grass but she really enjoyed them. She said they were 'cute' and a lot of fun. My mom who only really liked 1940s/50s musicals.

Oh man the B-52's are retiring?! well, glad I saw them a couple years ago, they were great.

One thing we've been meaning to do for a while is stay in the trailer park motel one of them (Kate or Cindy) has in the Southern California desert. each mobile home is decorated in a different cool kitschy theme.
