hey Danny and all assembled - and not assembled
Avatar 🦭 Swag For Life Member 10:06pm
coelacanth∅:

Danny do you have this album? i've only ever heard bits of it and it (last i knew) was entirely unavailable to procure for within a million miles of a reasonable price.
Avatar 🦭 Swag For Life Member 10:08pm
coelacanth∅:

...oh i take that back. it's dropped down to only $568.07 via discogs.
Avatar 10:09pm
Little Danny:

Sadly no coel. I only have a downloaded version. The whole album is really, really good hippie electronic rock

This Joe Townsend is so wonderful.

Little Danny:

I know, his guitar and voice interplay was just awesome
  10:58pm
Lore:

Bengt Olsson wrote that Townsend was accompanied on that 45 by a guitarist named Johnny Mays.
Avatar 11:00pm
Little Danny:

Ooooohhh. Good to know. Always assumed it was Townshend himself
Avatar 11:04pm

Bought that EP for myself a few weeks back. I love these early bop EPs with covers that are 7"-only

Beautiful.

Dean:

Just purchased a Doldinger record--the Jubilee Concert--for $1 at a cool store in Portland.
Avatar 11:30pm
Little Danny:

How is it, Dean? (I believe his stuff got quite commercial)
  11:34pm
Dean:

It's a mix of Passport with, e.g., Brian Auger. Pretty solid. The '70s Passport stuff was great prog-ish jazz featuring sax. Later, he/they watered down their sound, but I'd never think of it as commercial. (My bias, I suppose, is Brazil. When Passport went Brazilian, I lost interest, because I for the most part despise Brazilian music...except for Villa Lobos and Badi Assad.)
