I prefer doughnuts. But whatever!
Avatar 11:00am Jeff Moore:

Hey! What happened to my show name?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Doug Schulkind:

It got frosted! (Or maybe jelly infused?) Or both!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Webhamster Henry:

Hi Jeff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Jeff Golick:

Donuts?? Here for 'em.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Doug Schulkind:

Moore is more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm Parq:

More Moore! Dig it.
Avatar 12:02pm Sem:

How can I miss you, when you won't go away, Doug?

Hello, Mr. Moore, and attendant folk. Mind the saturated fats.
Avatar 12:02pm Jeff Moore:

Is this thing on? I think so!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm Brian in UK:

Hello Jeff. Do you get apricot doughnuts over your way?
  12:03pm Marf:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Jeff Golick:

We groovin' high, @Jeff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Webhamster Henry:

He steals from the rich and give to the poor : Mr. Moore, Mr. Moore, Mr. Moore. #obligatorypython
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Brian in UK:

Just eaten a Butter Bun.
Avatar 12:03pm Jeff Moore:

Apricot? Not that I've noticed. Not sure if I should be sad or grateful.
  12:04pm Sandy:

Oh wow is this hitting the spot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm thedunkel:

Jello Jeff!
Avatar 12:05pm Jeff Moore:

Hey, AD!
  12:06pm rrg:

Howdy, jbm.
Avatar 12:09pm Sem:

Isn't this a Roy Orbison tune, or did he just cover it?
Avatar 12:10pm Jeff Moore:

Howdy, rrg, Sandy, Brian, Other Jeff, Webhamster, Sem, and of course Stream Daddy Doug!
Avatar 12:12pm Jeff Moore:

I think this first set is going to be some straightforward purely decadent attention to my musical pleasure spots. Hope that's okay with y'all!
  12:13pm rrg:

That’s what they mostly all do, so we’re pleased to hear you do it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Doug Schulkind:

If the Drummer Stream were to have a manifesto, you just articulated it beautifully.
  12:24pm johnk77:

is it ok if i have a bagel?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Jeff Golick:

It's the Pleasure Principle.
Avatar 12:25pm Jeff Moore:

@johnk77: Please do. I think we may have hit sweets overload, it might be time for something savory.
  12:26pm Marf:

Proud to be outside savoring the vibe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm northguineahills:

How haven't I faved your show before, I know I've listened to you multiple times (new show name, perhaps?)
Avatar 12:30pm Jeff Moore:

@NGH: This is only my 3rd show, all fills on GTDR. But yes, my show seems to have gotten caught up in the Donutmania which swept the station in the wake of activities related to our pal Matt (Garbage Donut Pickle) Warwick.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm northguineahills:

Ok, going a half hour Jeff, half hour Kurt and back again for the next 2.5 hours (or just play both streams simultaneously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm doctorjazz:

Great stuff, loving the set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm doctorjazz:

Nice Silver.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Happy donuts, everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Jeff and others
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm coelacanth∅:

ngh it's a dilemma, but then i thought well Kurt will be on every week for a while
Avatar 12:53pm Jeff Moore:

Hey, if I weren't in here doing this, *I*'d be listening to Kurt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Webhamster Henry:

There's lots of David Garland to pick from !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm coelacanth∅:

excellent first set by the way; i was listening, though on the phone for most of it...and with Kurt's show on simultaneously for a few minutes of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Webhamster Henry:

I have a lot of Main Stream/GTDS conflicts. #archivesftw
Avatar 12:56pm Jeff Moore:

@WHH: [in re Garland] Right? Will I get barred from the guild if I play more than one in a show, or indeed a set?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Webhamster Henry:

Oh if you put it at the other end of the program, nobody will notice.
BTW, if get the physical version of Verdancy, it's a really beautiful package!

I believe Doug was trying to see if David could bring Spinning On Air (under a different name probably) to the stream. That didn't happen, but you can get the Spinning On Air Podcast which is probably good enough.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Doug Schulkind:

There has never been any discussion about bringing/inviting Spinning on Air, by any name, onto the stream. But I would entirely endorse such a concept.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm Webhamster Henry:

Oh, OK. I thought I read something like that. Or maybe I suggested it to David myself!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm Doug Schulkind:

@Webhamster Henry
You're hired!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Brian in UK:

I do not doubt that there is the potential for more shows on the Stream.
A Classical or Verbal would be simply spiffing.
Avatar 1:44pm Jeff Moore:

Webproducer Henry!
Avatar 1:47pm Jeff Moore:

Wait for it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm doctorjazz:

I used to love Garland's show when he was on WNYC (at one point he was nightly)...took a while for me to figure out he was also a composer/performer. He also had a nice radio voice and persona. A show on the stream would be great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm Jeff Golick:

@Brian, would you accept "The Classical" by Mark E. & Co.?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Brian in UK:

Jeff need more info.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Jeff Golick:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Jeff Golick:

(excerpted from A Long Way to Go for a Poor Joke: The Jeff Golick Story.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Brian in UK:

Second time I have seen ring modulators mentioned in the last couple of days. The band United States of America used them in the Sixties.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Brian in UK:

Jeff especially when the numb nut you sent it to saw it flying over his head.
Avatar 1:58pm Jeff Moore:

@Brian: not to be confused with the legendary dCS Ring DAC, no piece of equipment containing which has been able to be afforded by me.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Brian in UK:

@Jeff M I was just thinking the same thing about Bryce.
Avatar 2:02pm Jeff Moore:

Well, this is being played during The Brycing Hour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Webhamster Henry:

I know there's another stream coming --- I'm curious what it'll be like.
Dave Amels is experimenting with automated programming.
I'd be curious to add a little thematic coherance to the usually shuffle-modedness of the GTDS stream. Like: Mondays are old-timey, Tuesdays Asian classics, Wednesdays free jazz, etc.

Boredcast and Ubu don't really need segues, although running Boredcast in its original order once in a while might be a good idea.
Avatar 2:14pm Jeff Moore:

The new stream will be replacing Boredcast (with Vicki's blessing). You'll learn more soon.
Avatar 2:22pm Sem:

Had to get up and sit down here to say this is a brilliant piece of music, interrupting me from Neil Sheehan' "A Bright Shining Lie" because it (this music) is as elegiac as the writing. Thank you, JM.
Avatar 2:22pm Jeff Moore:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Webhamster Henry:

Boredcast is great - but I can hear Nancy Graham's somniloquies any old time, since I recorded them in the first place.
Avatar 2:30pm Jeff Moore:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Doug Schulkind:

Powerfully lovely this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm Webhamster Henry:

Avatar 2:31pm Jeff Moore:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm melinda:

hi all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm melinda:

I was just starting to get into Radio Boredcast, oh well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Doug Schulkind:

These Jeff Moore radio shows are like fine meals. Luxurious ingredients, meticulously and lovingly prepared.
Avatar 2:53pm Jeff Moore:

Why thanks, Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Webhamster Henry:

The Boredcast is available as archives, in theory you can make your own boredcast stream if you don't mind clicking every hour or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm doctorjazz:

Dacs ring Dac, huh? I sense a closet audiophile.
Great show, thanks, Jeff!
Avatar 3:01pm Jeff Moore:

@doctorjazz: I am out of the closet! I just can't afford the most super-duper stuff.

Have to make do (and really quite happily, actually) with, say an Yggdrasil instead of a Vivaldi stack.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:01pm melinda:

@Henry thanks. Sorry I couldn't tune in earlier Jeff.
Avatar 3:03pm kimzilla:

Miles is calming to the soul. Thanks Jeff.
Avatar 3:04pm Jeff Moore:

Pretty jittery Miles is calming you! Must be one of those days!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm doctorjazz:

Yggy is a great Dac, I have a friend who uses it in a kilobuck system.
Avatar 3:04pm Jeff Moore:

I'm super impressed, actually.
Avatar 3:06pm kimzilla:

Its doing it's job, maybe I need a little jitter mixed into my calm.
Avatar 3:09pm geezerette:

Hello. Jeff & gang!
Once again, glad for archives. :D
Avatar 3:09pm Jeff Moore:

Good thing nobody's waiting for this table.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm melinda:

Overtime is good.
Avatar 3:13pm geezerette:

Let's all have another donut.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Jeff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Webhamster Henry:

Looking forward to your next show, Jeff! Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Uncle Michael:

Achingly good show, Jeff. Thanks for filling in!
