Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm

If you're going to write a song about Amtrak, make it 10 minutes or longer, I think is the general rule
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm

I've made that trip several times.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm

This reminds me of Jonathan Richman singing about Government Center.

The one I really want to do is NYC to Montreal
Avatar 8:43pm
northguineahills:

I got sick of freelancing. I was either volunteering, or doing a week or two here and there. NYC, all GIS jobs ended up being gov't contracted, for 6 months. and when the interview process takes 6-9 months, it's not worth it. I've been trying to get a job outside of NYC for 2 years, but my wife doesn't want to leave. So, I'm taking an ok job in FL while I wait for responses for the dream jobs I want down there. Oh, yeah, I'm getting a divorce and leaving NYC Sunday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm
Gary:

Whoa, whaaaaaa ...? Oh, man. Very sorry to hear that, NGH
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm

Here's a piece I wrote awhile back about finding Najwa's album for the first time: roadsandkingdoms.com...

My first train trip was D.C. to Austin (we took the Greyhound from Austin to D.C.), then Austin to NYC and back. Via Chicago 1st, then through D.C. and New Orleans on the return trip. I forget the names of the routes. I'd love to take one of the Western routes some day.
