"There goes the neighborhood." (No, not you, Holly!)
  12:06pm KP:

Good afternoon, Mike
  12:07pm Dean:

The phrase "highly illogical" is itself illogical, inasmuch as logic pertains to binary states of affairs, on or off, 1 or 0, yes or no, true or false.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Mike Sin:

Folks! I hope you'll stick with me! Hi Wendy del, Nate K, Alex, Doug, Holly in NC, ndbob, Brian, and KP! Thanks!

Any songs by George Takei, Mike?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Hey Mike Sin!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Wendy del Formaggio:

It must be official Hawkwind Day at ol' FMU. Marty played some about an hour ago.
  12:10pm KP:

Seventh Ring!
  12:10pm Nate K:

It's the 40th anniversary of Warrior, I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Polyus:

Hawkwind Friday, I like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Brian in UK:

Could be the fortieth anniversary of the photograph.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Doug Schulkind:

I worked for 10 years at that corner, 50th & Broadway (but across the street).
Avatar 12:15pm Holly in NC:

Great show so far, Mike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Brian in UK:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Mike East:

Was watching the last episodes of Boardwalk Empire last week and was thinking I should get some Brian Jonestown Massacre. Any albums recommended?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Wendy del Formaggio:

I was just listening to this BPreston album last night! Trying to put together a mix CD for my friend doing field work in Alaska. He needs it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Doug Schulkind:

I didn't work ON the corner, Brian in UK. My pimp did that you silly!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Hahaha, Doug! Maybe those sort of work conditions are different in the UK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Doug Schulkind:

One of the first rock concerts I attended had Billy Preston and then Ravi Shankar opening for George Harrison.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm MattBelow:

Hey-a Mike et all!
Avatar 12:21pm Parq:

Billy Preston was the first person ever to do a pop music concert at Radio City Music Hall, ca. 1974. A guy I knew who was a stagehand at the Music Hall told me Billy came in every night after the last stage show for weeks, practicing on the Mighty Wurlitzer.
Avatar 12:21pm ndbob:

wow Doug!
  12:23pm Nate K:

Is this song from the Sins album that has the one about Sally Kirkland?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Mike Sin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Wendy del Formaggio:

MattBelow! xoxoxo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Polyus:

Weird that it has taken me so long to hear much SRC stuff, even having grown up in MI. Really good.
Avatar 12:37pm Holly in NC:

Love Sally Kirkland. Best of all Original Sins though is the 7'' with their ode to dating an underage lass ("Just 14") b/w their cover of the Archies "Sugar Sugar!" !
Avatar 12:39pm Sonny Rickles:

Happy Friday, Mike! You're the best!
  12:44pm Nate K:

@Holly, the B-side of which was on my 2015 marathon premium.
Avatar 12:45pm Holly in NC:

@NateK - I know, you genius you!!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Mike East:

glad you're filling in, Mr Sin. I'm finally better after a week of being sick and I'm ready to rock the fuck out this weekend.

Avatar 12:58pm Holly in NC:

Hearing some Gun Club here (never a bad thing!)
  12:59pm John W.:

I remember going to the Zum Zum in the city and Willowbrook Mall. Thanks for this pic Mike and ROCK ON!
Avatar 1:01pm Sue P.:

Wish I was in the studio APing right now. Thanks for great Friday vibes, Mike.
  1:14pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Yes!!! I love Death! (The band, at least. Duh.)
  1:21pm Dean:

Bomp Records, the store in LA, was one cool joint.
Avatar 1:25pm βrian:

We like to go "down there, " where the drummer stream lives.
Avatar 1:27pm Sue P.:

"I don't know what I'm doing," says Mike Sin. This from a man who has engineered some of the most rockin' live sets on these same airwaves. Modesty becomes you, sir.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Doug Schulkind:

@Sue P
Are you saying that overseeing a poorly engineered live set would be committing some sort of mic sin?
Avatar 1:37pm David Shortell:

Garfunkel is performing at the State Theatre in New Brunswick tonight.
Avatar 1:38pm Sue P.:

Oh, Doug, I so appreciate your pun though I cannot condone punnage in general.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Brian in UK:

Great sunny day sounds, Mr Sin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm dave:

Good stuff - thanks, Mike!
Avatar 1:43pm KP:

I'd gladly pay you Tomorrow for Real Life Permanent Dream today
  1:50pm Spaceman One:

A great Rick Wright song but much disliked by the band.
Avatar 1:53pm KP:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm Mike Sin:

Thanks for sticking around, folks!
  2:00pm Dean:

Another pun!
Avatar 2:01pm βrian:

And here I always thought it was "Stinky Fingers."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ah - I been missing 'Optical Sound' w/ Mike Synesthesia. I'll catch an hour...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm efd:

"Out Of The Blue" is permanently in my Top 3 Roxy Music Songs list.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm fleep:

More flanging!
Avatar 2:18pm Holly in NC:

Fondly remember buying this (Crocodiles), one of my first "cool" lps. Still love it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Early on - I thot Echo & the Bunnymen knew a bunch of mystical secrets I had to discover. Later I read 'Porcupine' was mostly about frustration making the album itself & suchlike...Well it's still good!
Avatar 2:22pm KP:

I wonder if Moonlight Mile on reissue is any different. There's one way to find out!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm SeanG:

heard fabs play this yesterday-love it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...whereas Nick Drake *did* know mystical secrets: www.algonet.se... ...

Great blurb for a book: "You'll enjoy this even if you're not stoned to the gills."
Avatar 2:47pm ndbob:

I remember that Roxy LP
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm Artie Haywire:

Ar-Kaics - Great band from Richmond, VA.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm Mike East:

This has been a thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours, Mr. Sin. Not the part about being at work, but the music listening part. That was the tops.
Avatar 2:53pm ndbob:

excellent show Mike S!
