Hello Care Abouts. Streaming for Miss Mei today while she is out.

Mei wanted me to pass along...

"...in my absence this show will feature brainwave music I use to sleep, almost every night. It helps me sleep so well."
Avatar 1:01pm
Otis Fodder:

And away we go with a sentimental cover song that you can grab a throw and a pillow with.

Listener Robert:

As I drink a cocktail of Royal Crown Cola with Clover Valley sugarless black cherry soda, I'm impelled to remark on the jingle which sounded like, "RC, the one with the madman taste."
Avatar 1:12pm
Mr Fab:

I can't sleep, i'm at the office!

(tho sleeping at the office has been known to happen. Or so I'm told...)

Ah, you were swimming in Mr Fab's stream pre-show... let's see if he pops his chathead in here and can get back on that madman taste. I missed it, came in pre-show when calypso was playing. Also, now I would like a black cherry soda as summer is here and it's too hot in this old place with no AC.

There he is! We summoned Fab!

Listener Robert:

↳ Otis Fodder @1:12
You saying he happened to play that jingle?
Avatar 1:14pm
Mr Fab:

Hey Otis, thanks for being the "showrunner" as they say in tv.

Listener Robert:

I wasn't listening! But great minds....

All the sounds in-between shows is from Fab's massive collection that plays at random.

My pleasure. Hands off here playing the file and I can still do some dishes, make coffee and answer emails before my show. Win Win.

vintage jingles and ads galore festoon the stream. Including ones for such lovely products as Roma Wine, which now only exist in our world.

Otis Fodder:

↳ Mr Fab @1:16
Ah, Roma Wine. I feel as if I consumed a bottle listening to the sleepytime drones.
Avatar 1:19pm
Mr Fab:

how does "brainwave music" work?

It doesn't use instruments, you just think about the music and it happens?
  1:20pm
Listener Robert:

So much for falling to sleep.

Mr Fab:

Bookmark this episode when it's archived for future sleep-enhancing purposes.

Tho falling asleep is the last thing i need help with. I could sleep thru Godzilla rampaging down my street.

Which is unfortunate because that is something that I would not want to miss.

Here too, solid sleeper thankfully. Last weekend somebody was screaming on the street outside and I slept through it. But I wake up always when I hear the sound of hairball puke from my cat.

Everyone is asleep. Time to raid the fridge and make a sandwich.
Avatar 2:27pm
Mr Fab:

i was seriously nodding off! Ha, gotta go get some caffeinated stuff.
Avatar 2:31pm
Mr. Oxford:

Hey everyone! This track is really nice. Thank you Otis for guest hosting today.

This reminds me of an article I once read about how playing Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music album at night helped a woman sleep. This music is more soothing though (though please don't mistake me, I do like Reed's MMM).

Otis Fodder:

↳ Mr. Oxford @2:31
Hi Mr.O... I think I could fall asleep to both (fan of MMM as well). Any sort of constant tones. I have a small soundbox by my bed with various SFX... the sound of a train on the tracks just rolling along is a fav.

my wife plays rain sounds sometimes. Even when it's really raining.

I've fallen asleep in MRI machines. Just because I like the noise bath.

I have, too!

It's also a good way to beat the boredom and claustrophobia.

Hi Otis!
That's another one. Soma FM's Drone Zone. I sleep to that often.

this is really helpfully calming. I returned to the office after a four day weekend to some aggravating work details and this is helping me cope.

Oh, I don't know that channel, sounds so nice. Love atmospheres.

It really is. And for getting work and cleaning done about the place.

I'll be hosting the Wiggle Room later today. The funny, exotic, beautiful world of Harry Belafonte.
