Late... Got a fun polling call about radio. Guy asked about a list of radio stations, whether I listened to them. No throughout. Finally asked about "other", so I said WFMU. Got a bunch of other questions with guy struggling to say WFMU. Then he asked whether I ever listened to another station. I said WGXC and broke his will
I took 20 minutes, but it was fun, and maybe the guy will check out WFMU after hearing that so often

Went to see Bobby at Vanguard early 90s. While I was looking for a parking spot, a taxi hit my car and my bumper was laying in the middle of 7th Ave. I grabbed the bumper and put it in my car through sunroof. Went to see the show it was great! I drove back to Queens with the bumper still projecting out sunroof. Then it started snowing, what a night. Thank you Mr. Watson!

Hey, Fred-I went to Richard Thompson last night, concert of the week. Haven't picked up tix to Yo La Tengo (went last year, honestly, didn't love my night. Also a COVID incubation site-everyone packed like pickles, all standing (not great for my delicate back). I passed this year.

It's hard to get out much, and I really try to get 7-8 hours of sleep these days (makes going out in work nights difficult).
I actually did get to 3 other concerts this past month-John Zorn:s New Masada Quartet, Webber/Morris Big Band, and a house concert with Yuka C Honda, Nelson Clone, and The Autumn Defense.

Zorn and New Masada put on a great show. Zorn plays and conducts, and boys a terrific band. Seen them twice (the original Masada is up there in my mental Best Live Shows I've seen list)

I always liked the 9th Street Sax Quartet-they were sort of the "in" version of the Sax Quartet (as opposed to the "out" versions, World Sax Quartet, ROVA, etc). Think I might have seen them once (but foggy memory here, not sure).

@fred, The thrid concert I went to last month (Honda/Cline/Autumn Defense) was at a friend's house. But, while he loves doing it, it's a lot of work, and he only can pull it off once a year (due to COVID, 2019 was the one before this one). And he's friends with the musicians that played...(would be nice, though)
