This version has a different title, and has a few beats that are not in the first episode. The voices are different... and this version seems like it was leaning more into the possibility of it having more of a "noir" flavor. I think you're right... different lead actor, I'm pretty sure. (Maybe the credits will tell more?)

I suspect the writers and producer heard the final version, and made some changes to the show that we have come to know. That's just my reading of the show; they could have changed things up for a lot of reasons.
