	3:20pm Mike Rogers: So, the show starts in 45 minutes. I am awake (and have been for 1.5 hours) I'm getting prepared. Tested the system. Everything works as it is supposed to.

	3:24pm Mike Rogers: Sometimes, I just sit here (it's 4am here in Tokyo) and I wonder "Why do I do this?" I do this for you, and me. What else can I do? I have done this job all my life. I was bummed out Jerry Lee Lewis died yesterday.
	3:24pm Mike Rogers: I considered playing Jerry Lee yesterday, but I changed my mind. He was the coolest.
	3:28pm Mike Rogers: Lots of people were criticizing Jerry Lee for marrying his 13 year old cousin. I politely corrected them and told them that it was VERY common in those days to marry a 13 year old. In fact, in 24 US states TODAY, it is still legal. I asked them if they cared so much that they want to criticize and guy who just died (bad form, I think) I asked them what they are doing to stop child marriages in the USA. I read where 300,000 minors were married in the USA since 2018.
	3:29pm Mike Rogers: No one can complain about me, I married a 25 year old woman. Who is now 54 and we are happily married.
	3:30pm Mike Rogers: Speaking of that, my son (18) went away to university in another country. I was so sad. I mean, he was just born the other day! Where did the time go?
	3:31pm Mike Rogers: Where does the time go? I think about that a lot!
	3:33pm Mike Rogers: Heck, I was a 25 year old just the other day... Tomorrow, Nov. 1, I will be officially a senior citizen. It's my birthday! 65 years old!
	3:34pm Mike Rogers: I still feel, though, like I might be 40...
	3:35pm Mike Rogers: Then I went to get a discount card for the train and the bus. But wouldn't you know it? They changed the age for discount cards in Japan to 70 years old.... They changed the age limit in April!!! Grrrrrrr!
	3:36pm Mike Rogers: All these years, when I ride the train or bus, I give my seat up to an old person.... Now, I gotta wait 5 more years for some young person to do that for me! Isn't that the way it always is?
	3:38pm Mike Rogers: I was thinking that if I gave my seat up for an old person, it's good Karma, and someday the favor will be repaid (actually I was thinking about my wife's parents) my folks passed away a long time ago....

But I also have to thank one "Beat" Takeshi, a man of many talents and vocations, for teaching me the majority of what I know, through a game show he once hosted known by fans as "Hei-Say".

It came to Japan TV some years after Hei-Say went off the air, IIRC.
	5:19pm Mike Rogers: Well, Androu san, I wouldn't call him a "Friend" really. I've just met him on and off for 30 years. He did shows at TV Tokyo and I used to work there until 2019 (?) or was it 2018?
	5:19pm Mike Rogers: He only remembered my name because in Japanese "Mike" means "Mic" like in radio mic. So since I was a DJ, I figured that's how he remembered my name.

	5:46pm Mike Rogers: Many years ago, I took my son and wife to see Chinese Years at Hong Kong. We were on the Kowloon side in a very nice hotel. We were on the 11th floor. We watched from our room the amazing fireworks, (like it went on for an hour) I looked down to the street and just saw a massive wave of humanity. I had never seen anything like that before in my life. People packed like sardines and millions of of them... I read in the news papers that next day (or was it the day after) that they estimated to crowd was 8 million people! It struck fear into my heart to see so any people all in the same place... It was like horror movie.... But no reports of injuries or accidents.

	5:19pm Mike Rogers: Well, Androu san, I wouldn't call him a "Friend" really. I've just met him on and off for 30 years. He did shows at TV Tokyo and I used to work there until 2019 (?) or was it 2018?

	5:46pm Mike Rogers: Many years ago, I took my son and wife to see Chinese Years at Hong Kong. We were on the Kowloon side in a very nice hotel. We were on the 11th floor. We watched from our room the amazing fireworks, (like it went on for an hour) I looked down to the street and just saw a massive wave of humanity. I had never seen anything like that before in my life. People packed like sardines and millions of of them... I read in the news papers that next day (or was it the day after) that they estimated to crowd was 8 million people! It struck fear into my heart to see so any people all in the same place... It was like horror movie.... But no reports of injuries or accidents.
