There is a scene in Godard's Two or Three Things I Know About Her in which the camera focuses on a swirling cup of coffee while Godard reads aloud a long text which contains the phrase (as I remember) "the galaxies on my doorstep." I've written it all down in one of my notebooks. The film is available on Youtube. The coffee cup soliloquy begins at 27:39.
