	8:13pm Franco Twinkie: One time when when I was in rural Michigan, I saw Waylon Jennings on the back of a flat bed truck as a warm-up to destruction derby. But better than that, home made lamps that won blue ribbons in the craft tent.

Dale told this completely pointless story about a boy 'with the long hair' who wouldn't go to church. Roy Rodgers just minced around, but you could almost read the thought bubble over his head that said 'put a sock in it Dale, I just want to sing a few songs and get the hell out of here.'

Bone-dry desert heat, rarely over 100, hanging at the beach or someone's pool, convertibles, no humidity. And yeah I'm sounding like Grandpa Simpson now, sorry!

	8:54pm motelchronicler: my fondest fairground memory is the time a short-lived labor day fest in Boulder had a zucchini racing event, mostly as a ploy to get rid of extra zuccs, which meant leaving a giant pile of overgrown zucchini on the creekbank unattended, I got a VERY sensual photo of my friend Kevin rolling among the squash
