Hi neveract: have you tried both the pop-up, and the 128k? And failing that, tried the app?

Ursula in Led Zep Airplay Shocker!
Avatar 12:26pm
Ursula1000:

haha I didn't even notice it SOp! the worst was when the year 2000 hit and I was suddenly being called Ursula 2000 for like a year---that was hard to shake off!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
Rich in Washington:

He was in Copland, an actually OK Stallone movie. Sorta his arthouse comeback film, after which he went back to making the kinds of movies he became a joke for.
Avatar 12:26pm
Ursula1000:

seems like I'm the 10th person to rock this Zep track on WFMU!who knew?
Avatar 12:27pm
Mr Fab:

Ha, You brought out my Valley dude self. Yes, I loved Zep, gotta admit. A fact I had to hide from my New Waver pals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm
Rich in Washington:

I worked for a company that developed a product with 2000 in the model number/name and it took four years for it to hit the market. DOH! They dropped the digits eventually.

Time is movin & we are groovin
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
StringOFperils:

As preposterous as Led Zep's swagger seems (to me) now, that was a very good band. (Their taking credit where credit was not due so much of the time is another story, but....do as thou wilt, thou art the whole of the law, Jim)
Avatar 12:29pm
Mr Fab:

Last word in each song title is the first word in the next song title. What do i win!?!

Ah, durn! But this is a better song. Great choice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm

Also a good one
Avatar 12:37pm
Mr Fab:

ok gang, what song starts with "Electric"?
Avatar 12:38pm

I like that eel's fruit stripe gum fin
Avatar 12:41pm
neveract:

Hi @Mr. Fab.. Sorry for the late reply.. got an important call re: a sick friend. The pop-up still isn't working, but the 128k is. But come on over and party! It won't be too loud considering the age of the AR's; I don't wanna push the original components. I have re-conditioned them tho.. and both tweeters and woofers look great thankfully!
Avatar 12:42pm
Ursula1000:

the last few times I had Fruit Stripe gum, the flavor lasted like 2 minutes! I remember accidentally swallowing those when I was young since they were so sweet!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Feldy:

2 minutes sounds long for FS gum that's incredible!
Avatar 12:46pm
Mr Fab:

neveract: weird about the pop-up (that's what I'm using) but hey, glad something's working.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm

FS Gum looked beautiful. Maybe the best looking gum ever.
Avatar 12:48pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm
Rich in Washington:

my appreciation for groups and albums which I at the time thought were 'dumb' is a really weird thing in my old age.
Avatar 12:59pm
Ursula1000:

as a drummer---holy shit, Terry Bozzio.....!
Avatar 12:59pm
Mr Fab:

I did not like this band back in the day, but now I totally hear Dale Bozzio's Zappa background in the drumming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm
Rich in Washington:

Dale also did some voice work in Joe's Garage Act II-III. Yeah, I think ALL of Missing Persons were Zappa stablemates in the 80s.
Avatar 1:03pm
Ursula1000:

yep all ex Zappa players--their US Festival set is up on YT---super tight! www.youtube.com...
