My family moved from NYC to LA literally just a year before i was born, so I was raised by New Yorkers, always hearing about this magic land called "back east." We had a subscription to "the New Yorker," we visited my Manhattan relatives regularly. So this stuff is almost as much a part of my boyhood as KROQ and gangsta rap.
On the Stillettos: no, by this period Debbie and Chris were making a comfortable living in Blondie. Elda took over the band and reformed it. This collection came available about a dozen years ago on Punk Trampoline.
