	9:33am Discotech Underground: An interesting bit of Michigan music history; the 1970 Ann Arbor Blues festival was held the same weekend as the legendary Goose Lake festival, which was Michigan's Woodstock, essentially. The question I sometimes see batted around discussions about the two...which one would you rather have attended? The Blues Fest or Goose Lake?

	9:41am Discotech Underground: I purchased a reel to reel tape collection some years back that contained the complete 48 hour WDET live broadcast of the 1973 festival. Only two artists would not allow their sets to be broadcast...Yusef Lateef was one and I cannot remember who the other artist was. It's a fascinating document, truly.

	9:41am KimSorise: I don't think kids of parents coming of age in Detroit in the late 60s / early 70s had much of a choice honestly. My parents and aunt (especially) were pretty solid scenesters or the Eastown, Grande, the Hideout. Dang, Kip! WOW!

The question I sometimes see batted around discussions about the two...which one would you rather have attended? The Blues Fest or Goose Lake?

Only two artists would not allow their sets to be broadcast...Yusef Lateef was one and I cannot remember who the other artist was. It's a fascinating document, truly.
