Yo, Aitch!

Oh boy ! Disasters! I used to get excited about World Book Encyclopedia Yearbooks because they would update the year's disasters! Hi everyone.
Avatar 5:04pm

Hey Chill. I'm Chill.
John R.:

I was told you should stand in a door way in the event of a quake. Not sure if that is still a good rule of thumb.
Avatar 5:09pm

@ John, I read this morning that it's a bad idea. The door could hit you! Supposed to stay under a desk or table!
John R.:

It almost sounds like John Keel ,
John R.:

Thank you SBG!
John R.:

What a warblerly tones…
John R.:

Frickin creepy
Avatar 5:14pm

This is one of the weirder songs on the list today. I love it.

Rasmoo in Pedro:

You did it!! Great job with the research! Now I'm going to check my earthquake kit again....
Avatar 5:36pm

@ Rasmoo - We ALL need to check our earthquake preparedness!
John R.:

We have everything ready to go in case the wildfires get closer.
Avatar 5:38pm

@ John - Where are you? NorCal? I know that Lassen fire is really big and not under control at all.
John R.:

SBG: we’re in Placer County, North Lake Tahoe. Wre okay at the moment, but the AOI was 760 this morning. Better now (around 520)
John R.:

The Dixie Fire is about 40% contained

regarding the hindenburg broadcast i've always assumed that newscasters would've been more likely to be human -show feeling - back then anyway, as males were a lot more manly then, and not as afraid to show weakness or feelings, in contrast to the insecure babies that are the standard american male now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm

...in fact i think as recent as the early 1970s a male being man enough to display such emotion wasn't that uncommon.

Some really good digging here, Spacebrother. I know little of this music and I'm captivated.
Avatar 5:47pm

@ John - Hope it goes well and please stay safe. What is "AOI?" Is that AQI?
Avatar 5:48pm

Thanks, Mr. Chill. It's hard to stump you, so I'm happy.
Avatar 5:48pm
Mr Fab:

Durn, missed this show cuz i was in a meeting this whole time. Now THAT'S a disaster.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm

nice! i don't think i've ever heard an electric shamisen
Avatar 5:50pm

Hey Mr. Fab! There's always the archive.
John R.:

SBG: Thank you you Sir! AQI is Air Quality Index.

It’s just not the same without the word “Gitcheegoomee”.
John R.:

Nice rendition
Avatar 5:52pm

@ coelacanth∅ - It works surprisingly well. I wish he was singing too.
Avatar 5:53pm

@ egould - Exactly. LOL.
Avatar 5:55pm

@ John - Yeah, i though i missed something and looked it up. Hope you can breathe OK out there.

Nice to hear a different track by Rabbit Brown than James Alley. A fitting place here. Still, any Rabbit Brown makes me want to hear the James Alley Blues.
Avatar 5:57pm

Looks like I'll run a over a little again. Glad there's no show after me.
Avatar 5:57pm

@ Chill - I hadn't heard of him until today!
John R.:

SBG: We have n 95 masks , which helps a lot . Plus the masks help hide my turkey neck.😀
Avatar 6:00pm

@ John - HA!
Avatar 6:01pm
Mr Fab:

OMG this is amazing!

Ironically, Jimmy was in prison for arson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm

Thanks spacebrother!

I know it's off disaster topic, but Rabbit Brown only put out 4 records from 1927 to 1929. And the James Alley Blues may be the greatest record ever made. Great show.
Avatar 6:05pm

Thanks youse guys!
John R.:

Thank you SBG!
