Indeed Bitches Brew was recorded in the three days after Woodstock. & Woodstock is iconic of some halcyon epiphany - but I think if you watch it - it's muddy & string out & political... & I think Miles was always the Cool surface with the roiling undercurrent...

Ornette Coleman's quartet and Archie Shepp and the NY Contemporary Five are records I love, but some of Trane's out stuff is too much for me
