Avatar 2:05pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hi!
  2:13pm john:

tuesday comes before wednesday, and wednesday comes before tuesday, and tuesday comes after wednesday, and wednesday comes after tuesday, and whatever comes next in a pattern is simply what comes next in the pattern. whatever you choose is therefore the right answer in terms of what comes next.
Avatar 2:15pm flower eyed:

even if it's not true, it could be...
Avatar 2:32pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Avatar 3:19pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Teaching BASIC on it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Rich in Washington:

uh oh
Avatar 3:22pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I'll take the fall...
Avatar 3:23pm Martinibomb:

daaamn that's really awesome @Kenzo I've always thought its better to learn on a system like that than a newer computer.
Avatar 3:24pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

A little machine language
Avatar 3:24pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Taking it apart
Avatar 3:24pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

No games, nonono
Avatar 3:25pm Martinibomb:

^I am totally with you on this!
Avatar 3:26pm Martinibomb:

I still have my old Vic20 that I've had since 79 -- and I've managed to keep it running
Avatar 3:27pm Martinibomb:

I never got the 64 went from the vic20 to amiga
Avatar 3:27pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

No internet no social media, omg Scratch Online, it's everything wrong
Avatar 3:28pm Martinibomb:

I hate Scratch!!! so dumb
Avatar 3:29pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I'll be chattier in second hour after I've finished making the second hour
Avatar 3:29pm Martinibomb:

Your workflow is interesting
Avatar 3:30pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

A happy nightmare
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Webhamster Henry:

I like Scratch, but of course that shouldn't be the only language you learn.
Avatar 3:40pm Martinibomb:

I really enjoyed coding when I was a teen but then I went into a visual art path and found it difficult to do both.. I have always tinkered with it. Been more interested/serious about it the last few years - I've been enjoying it more than drawing hahah
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm Webhamster Henry:

You can get some Quick and Dirty art/graphic results with Processing, which is a wrapper over Java.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm Webhamster Henry:

There are always more platforms to learn with different specialties.
Avatar 3:42pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Any requests for an hour from now?
Avatar 3:44pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

(Anyone paying attention on the WTJU side, some archived broadcast has been airing over there for a while)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Rich in Washington:

You're playing my favorite dystopian sounds.
Avatar 3:48pm flower eyed:

once upon a time, I knew a beautiful person in Asheville who lived in a house filled with dried flowers and palo santo and it was true then even though it's no longer true.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Webhamster Henry:

More Joe Frank! or maybe some Alan Watts.
Avatar 3:51pm flower eyed:

a request for some kind of looping of the track "It's You" by Animal Collective. I'm on the wtju stream though so I wonder what that'll mean...
Avatar 3:51pm Martinibomb:

yeh I was thinking of playing with processing again. I'm really into this virtual console system called pico-8 right now. It's lua based - and you've only got like 32k to play with
Avatar 3:53pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hello to Meredith, invisibly listening
Avatar 3:53pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

FYI, the WTJU stream is playing something different than today's WFMU live version. So, switch on over to the WFMU player on this page at 4pm and hear what you missed!
Avatar 4:01pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Wheeeeew two bewildering transitions, and one more to go. Hiiiiiiiiii 4pm
Avatar 4:02pm flower eyed:

that was quite bewildering indeed, glad to have experienced it
Avatar 4:03pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Listen here now via the Pop-up or 128k MP3 link, and it'll be today instead of 15 years ago!
Avatar 4:05pm flower eyed:

I made it to the present moment, it's great here
Avatar 4:05pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Dazzling happiness
Avatar 4:07pm Martinibomb:

no more xanadu!
Avatar 4:08pm Martinibomb:

I think I hurt myself listening to the 24hr
Avatar 4:08pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I think I loved the first hour. Was abruptly woken from the dreamstate by tech issue at WTJU which led to this Xanadu moment. I recovered in a little while and did a very different thing for the rest thereafter. I can't wait to hear the first hour again and see if they seem connected.
Avatar 4:09pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Xanadu loops in first hour, I can't wait
Avatar 4:09pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

One of my possible plans had been to air the two hours out of order, in which case right now we'd both be listening to hour 1.
Avatar 4:11pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Thanks to Otis for sending the medley to me in the midst of the show, used it as emergency blanket as I transitioned
Avatar 4:12pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Sorry, too late for Animal Collective, but maybe I played it 15 years ago when you were listening half an hour ago?
Avatar 4:13pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

By coincidence, the old show they randomly picked to play of mine had Alan Watts and I happened to fade that in at some point
Avatar 4:15pm flower eyed:

synchronicity abound
Avatar 4:18pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Everything is grooved
  4:20pm Meredith:

I love this so much
Avatar 4:21pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:21pm chresti:

Hello Kenzo and everlastings! Home from work and boy howdy it's hot!
Avatar 4:22pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Welcome back, chresti, howdyhot
Avatar 4:25pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I'm trying to get the two hours of playlist figured out now
Avatar 4:36pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

50 minutes of playlisting done, 2:10 to go, soooo confusing all these timeshifts I have to live through
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm Webhamster Henry:

Stepping Out makes a good loop.
Avatar 4:44pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Irresistable. I did some really good stuff with it in a June 2011 show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Rich in Washington:

This is wonderful, Kenzo!
Avatar 4:48pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hey I'm at the present!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm chresti:

Hi Rich! Sorry to have missed your show featuring LAFMS stuff.
Avatar 4:50pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

God my voice sounds like Don Joyce for some moments
Avatar 4:51pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

90's philosophy, hm
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm Rich in Washington:

no worries, chresti! It's there in the archives forever, incorruptible, like Lenin in his tomb.
Avatar 4:51pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

He asks me about preparing for my audience, such a funny idea
Avatar 4:53pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Thanks everyone, glad for sharing the enjoyment/mysteries. Had no idea I'd make a new thing until an hour before the show, suddenly knew I had to
Avatar 4:55pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Talking about tricks
Avatar 4:55pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):
