Comment: Well ... that's it. Another show. If the truth be told, I am actually finishing this playlist on March 3rd, well after the shows original airing date. I fear I have fallen so dreadfully behind on these playlists. The weeks come racing towards us all at breakneck speed. We try to keep up, but dreams slide by like comets just out of reach, blazing towards other ticker tape parades, on beautiful galaxies it's likely none of us will ever see. As I address you here, I am halfway finished with the marathon. The first Thursday went well and, with YOUR help, we were able to generate some coin for WFMU. Thanks to Irene Trudel and Scott W for sitting in, as well as Station Manager Ken and Werner Klemperor's Ghost. I hope that ALL of you will tune in March 6th at 7pm EST for the next and final Dusty Show Marathon Fundraising Jamboree. It should be something else. Then again, depending upon when you hear this archived show, the second marathon show may long be a thing of the past. Perhaps the whole world has changed in some miniscule way as it, and we, evolve into who knows what, by the time the cosmic wheels have ground to some type of halt, or whatever it is that they have in mind. When you stop and think about it, the main thing is, you need to pledge. Of course it sucks, who wants to spend money? Not me. Not you. This is no time to splurge wantonly. It's time to tighten things up and keep a vigilant eye on your purse and/or wallet. For WFMU, though, you must throw caution to the wind and pledge like there is no tomorrow because ... in this Topsy-Turvy world where nothing is guaranteed, who knows what might happen. As I type, Chavez has sent troops to the Columbian border. It's all quite frightening. The best thing to do would be to E-mail me immediately. When you are uncertain, e-mail me. I'd be most interested in your location, thoughts and short musical numbers. I would also request that you instantly phone the D-SAM. (The Dusty Show Answering Machine). 201.521.1375. Here, your message can reach the world if it is included in a future episode (as it might darned well BE!).I'll go now. Thank you so much for your pledges. I wish I had been more careful to thank each of you personally that pledged. Take care now, and ... always remember. Clay Pigeon - WFMU - 3-3-08
