@Ljfww: that's almost as grave as an accent acute - or as acute and an accent grave!
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 9:50am Doug Schulkind:

How come you're always so diacritical, Webhamster Henry?
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 9:53am listener james from westwood:

@Webhamster: Should I ever pen a copyediting memoir, I'm calling it The Acute and the Grave: Living with an Accent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/6/15 9:55am Parq:

I know a girl with a cute accent. I recognize that this isn't strictly on topic.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 9:57am Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 11/6/15 10:00am Brian in UK:

Hello Doug 'n folks.

As Eric Cantona once said "A cormorant is just a blackbird that lives by the sea" I think those words are as true today as when they were first jibbered.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 10:02am Jeff Golick:

BIG THANKS, @Brian in UK!
  Fri. 11/6/15 10:02am David Herskovits:

Phew. I am so glad to hear that FMU is over the top--in every sense. That's why we love it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 11/6/15 10:02am Parq:

Doug, I know Mary Norris. She lives in my building. She's a great, down-to-earth person, and I've always enjoyed taking with her. She is quite pleasantly surprised at the extent to which her book has caught on, and she deserves all the success she's getting.

Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 10:28am listener james from westwood:

@Brian in UK: Terribly sorry to hear of the loss and its timing. Seems doubly sad even though there's no "good" day for it.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 10:28am Doug Schulkind:

The good thing about Muuro was that she has a lot of great pix to remix with.! I guess we'll look at a humorous sign carrying chinchilla for a year.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:16am listener james from westwood:

Honestly, that whole spread of pics is a public service. My building charges mad bux to keep pets, so proxy critters are my alternative.

When Dusty's term is over, it can be made into WFMU ear muffs as swag. Just an idea.

Chinchilla is Spanish for Tribble
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:40am Alex In Illinois:

"full-lenghth Chinchilla" probably means a full-lenth fur coat made of Chinchilla fur.

In most of the U.S. we have those grey squirrels, but in certain parts they have Red ones, balck ones, and ones of more than one color.

Oh hell yes it was, Jeff Golick. Willie Mitchell and his "You Know Them a Mile Away" Orchestra.

Had to attempt a summary of the Tribble story to a young someone recently. By the time you get through the 'splaining, the allusion has lost the intended fun of the recall and the fuzz has wilted.

I think I over-prepared for Chyvonne Scott. Now I have leftovers.

Love the look on Kirk's face in the link, just like our Beagle when he saw the new kittens for the first time.

Must zoom on out to meet a lunch companion; will manifest like an unquiet spirit amid HDT this afternoon! Thanks, Doug!!
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:52am Doug Schulkind:

The 45 for that Chyvonne Scott record lists "R. Williams" as composer. But that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:53am Lane Gray:

No, Doug. But it had the same meter
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:54am Doug Schulkind:

Wow...Ben Carson admits to lying about acceptance to West Point...but don't worry Ben Carson supporters...there is no bridge too far.
Avatar Fri. 11/6/15 11:56am Doug Schulkind:

Damn, Lane Gray. I wanted it to be true.
