You mean the art on the cassette or what you used as background?
Avatar 12:25pm
Tony Coulter:

↳ WR @12:23
The art on the cassette on your upper right -- tho it was just lifted from somewhere, not done specifically for the cassette (Finlay died in 1971).

The background is a piece of fabric -- couldn't fit all of these tapes on an LP jacket!

Shame I missed his performance on 'Theremin and VCS3 at Britain's prestigious Aldeburgh Festival.' Aldeburgh is a lovely, if slightly remote, small town on the windswept Suffolk Coast, which has an amazing music festival (due to Benjamin Britten long residence in the town.)

comedy where Gary Oldman and Gary Numan switch lives
  2:39pm

Shoot, I was thinking about who would replace Numan. I will guess a female or a band headed by a female. Chrissie Hynde, perhaps?
Avatar 2:39pm
Tony Coulter:

Hey, Dean!
  2:41pm
Dean:

But I have to depart before noon to retrieve my daughter, so I'll have to check the playlist upon return.

Portland was a blast, Tony. I stayed entirely out of record stores, and visited only one bookstore, Melville Books on Alberta, where I found two good books of poetry, both collected works: Paul Laurence Dunbar and Frank O'Hara.
Avatar 2:42pm
Tony Coulter:

↳ Dean @2:41
Glad Portland treated you well. Still need to get to Melville Books
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:43pm

↳ Dean @2:41
No Powell’s? I’m planning an excursion to PDX. I’ll have to check out Melville’s.
Avatar 2:45pm
Tony Coulter:

Portland has a number of great bookstores other than Powell's -- not as big, of course, but just as good.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:45pm
Julie:

↳ Dean @2:39
I will give you that. It is a female voice.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Julie:

I haven't been to either Portland
  2:46pm
Dean:

Melville Books is like a slice of time from my life in the '80s, when I would visit the Huntley Bookstore at the Claremont Colleges for the latest literary criticism, philosophy, etc. The young guy who owns it has somehow managed to steep himself in my experience. While there we discussed John Cowper Powys, author of Wolf Solent and The Glastonbury Romance, both of which I own. Who discusses Powys these days?

Melville Books is very tiny. Would fit in a restroom at Powell's.
Avatar 2:47pm
Tony Coulter:

↳ Julie @2:46
Both Portlands are worth a visit!
  2:48pm
Dean:

I learned (or was I misled?) that the western Portland was named after the eastern one.
