Looking back on it, I think they actually used the live concerts as some type of “loss leader.” Most kids got up early and went to the park when the sun was out and blistering, and then most split after the sun went down. They put the concerts on later in the day I think just to keep people in the park longer. The Ramones played at great adventure as well. I didn’t catch that show.
